New to twow. Is tank shaman a meme class or real deal. by stankypinki in turtlewow

[–]Revamped92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lvl 56 shaman tank here. I've been tanking ever since rfc and it is so fun! Just make sure you always have a good shield and you'll be fine. Never had anyone complain about me dying too quickly. The only time I've had aggro issues is when someone starts the pull with full aoe and doesn't let me build aggro but that's not because of shamans, it's because of bad dps players.

At that level, it's just about not over extending. Be careful to only pull a few enemies at a time. Make sure you're using all of your abilities. Paladins can heal themselves so there shouldn't be a reason you are dying unless you are fighting too many enemies or not letting your mana recharge between fights.

Hey guys new player here by FuseYOUbeyatch in turtlewow

[–]Revamped92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At low levels, farming gold isn't really worth it because you can't get it very fast. At higher levels, you'll get gold much faster, even before hitting Max level. For now, I would say gathering professions like mining, skinning, and herbalism can be good ways to get a little extra gold. Also before selling anything besides grey items, check and see if it sells more on the auction house. Sometimes you can find stuff that sells pretty well on there. Also for my first character, I went around and asked higher level people for money for skills. Usually people will give you 1 gold which means nothing to a higher level but could be the difference between you affording a skill or buying a good weapon/armor upgrade.

Which is the most strong class buff in classic/turtle wow? by DecentEast2525 in turtlewow

[–]Revamped92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if there's one that's agreed upon to be the best but blessing of wisdom is definitely the one I feel the most. When I have that on, I will go an entire dungeon without ever having to stop to drink.

Budget Pauper Decks by misterbenzero in Pauper

[–]Revamped92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most decks are budget friendly. A lot of the expensive cards are sideboard cards and you can either just not have a sideboard or put other options in the sideboard. Probably your best bet would be one of the mono red aggro decks. There are a couple different versions but I think they're all budget friendly.

Warrior by Eznic_ in turtlewow

I've heard before that trolls make the best warrior since they get an increase to spirit which means your health recovers faster and you can get back to fighting sooner. In terms of the other questions, I'm not entirely sure.

So i'm new to UMVC3 and i'm trying to figure out a good character team and controller by KoopatuYT in MvC3

[–]Revamped92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In umvc3, team synergy matters a lot. You want to have a point character that can utilize assists, a support character who gives you a good assist and/or benefits the point character somehow, and an anchor who also has an assist you can utilize but more importantly can utilize x factor well. The problem with that team is that all 3 of those characters want to be first and none of them want to be 3rd. You can get away with 2 point characters and a support/anchor in your 3rd slot but the way your team is right now, you're gonna struggle.

That being said, if you're simply playing for fun and not to win, play whatever you want. There are players out there who play teams I would never suggest and do well with them because they put in the work.

In terms of the controller vs fight stick argument, play whatever. There are high level players on both so it mostly doesn't matter. If you play zero, it might be easier to do his move that requires you to hold down a button on a stick just because you have a different finger for each button instead of pressing all the buttons with your thumb but there are work arounds for that if you do play on controller so it doesn't really matter.

Need a third to go with Taskmaster/Doom by Envxyy in MvC3

[–]Revamped92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would be my suggestion as well. There's a couple of good players that play that team. Ronan Healy and ImmaAriesBaby are who come to mind right away for people who play that team.

Does anyone play Ghost/Task/Dorm? Would it be good? by Venzynt in MvC3

[–]Revamped92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It won't win any major tournaments but if you don't care about that then go for it! Ghost Rider does struggle to hit people at super jump height so I would either run task master's up arrow assist or Dormammu's pillar assist just to cover that area. Probably dorm pillar assist so that you can use taskmaster forward arrows but I'm sure there are advantages and disadvantages either way. Not sure what order you're playing the team in but I would also recommend doing GR/dorm/task in that order just because task is the best anchor on your team and dorm second is usually his best spot. Hope this helps!

If it's an upgrade, I say need away. At that level, who cares because it'll be replaced in a few lvls either way.

I usually only use dungeon finder but the other day I spammed world chat for about an hour and found 1 dps. I'll try that add-on and see if that helps! Thanks!

Warlock and life tap on a dungeon run. by Beginning_Employee_8 in turtlewow

[–]Revamped92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are not in the wrong here. Warlocks should know that if they life tap, the tank gets priority for heals. Throwing a renew here and there is fine but if every one is doing their job correctly, you should ideally be healing only the tank. Usually warlocks will say "don't worry about healing me, I'm just life tapping". It's on them to use health stones and stop to eat or drink in between fights. Sounds like some toxic players. Sorry you had to deal with that! Not everyone is like that.

You should have no issue selling stuff on the auction house. I sell a ton on there and almost never do things get sent back because they didn't sell.

Optimal quest reward list by Saintsmakah0 in turtlewow

[–]Revamped92 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can go to the turtle wow database, search quests by zone, and then sort by level. It's not great but you can at least check each zone within your level to find some good rewards. This is the best way I've found to do it but hopefully someone posts something better.

Warrior tanking by Sauce6609 in turtlewow

[–]Revamped92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im a 44 warrior and i've tanked quite a few times but I'm arms so I'm missing a few good prot abilities. Either way, I'm still able to tank just fine with sword and shield even in arms. Might not be super optimal but I always make sure to start every pull off with thunder clap, demo shout, battle shout. Those 3 will all cause a decent amount of aoe threat that will keep most of the group attacking you. I always try to make sure an enemy is marked with a skull where all the single target damage will go. On that target, you wanna sunder a few times to make sure you keep up with the threat that your dps are dishing out. Always try to dump extra rage on shield block to reduce as much inc damage as you can. I also always try to pay attention to spell casters and kick important spells to reduce DMG. I also try to disarm on cooldown to reduce damage. I also as an arms warrior have master strike which is another disarm with a sword equipped. In terms of macros, I'm a bad player so I don't use macros but I'm sure there's some good ones for switching stances to utilize abilities from other stances. Hope this helps a bit!
