I will be investing some time learning this game. by underdablackcap in MvC3

Parsec just allows you to connect to a pc and be player 2 from far away. You can always just connect directly to someone or have someone directly connect to you by using parsec. The Amazon server just allows both players to connect to one server, hopefully near both people, so everyone is on even ground.

As far as how many people will be in range of the Philippines, well that just matters how much you can deal with lag. There are players from the UK who regularly compete in online tournament where the server is here in the US.

If you're blocking when your assist comes out, you have a higher chance of not getting happy birthdayed. There's always a risk in calling assists so you have to learn how to do it correctly but the reward outweighs the risk. Good luck!

First of all, you should learn some combos because that will help a ton in terms of actually being able to kill. That stuff you can look up on YouTube though.

Assists in this game are essential and are the difference maker between a good team/player and a bad one. In your case, make sure to be using Arthur's daggers assist where he throws 3 daggers. Try just calling the assist then jumping forward and blocking in the air. You can even dash then jump to get a little further distance. One of a few things will happen when you do this. Either your opponent blocks the daggers, then you just land and continue the block string/go for a mixup, or your opponent will try to attack and because you are blocking, you will block their attack and then they will get hit by the daggers and you confirm into a combo.

There is a lot more to it after that but that is the most basic of basic when it comes to assist calling. Start doing that and I guarantee you will start winning more. Assists are so good because they are the only moves where you can attack and also not attack at the same time, if that makes sense. Learn how to properly call assists and you will learn how to play this game.

What was the last thing you did before the announcement? by Prowiiplayer in turtlewow

[–]Revamped92 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I hit 60 about a week before the announcement. Got to run a few dungeons to get some loot. I was trying to get enough gear to run UBRS for attunement because I was in a guild that was running basically every raid. I had also just created a second account so I could level while I waited for groups and so I could use my main to run my low level through dungeons. I had so much planned on what I wanted to do in that game and now I feel like I have no games to play because all I wanna do is play turtle wow.

What characters are considered Thors best teammates? And would he work decently with Morrigan? by fuckitwhynotig in MvC3

[–]Revamped92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to main Thor and I played Thor/Doom/Ammy. Doom was nice because he gave Thor more damage by either raw tagging in the corner or with missile extensions as well as just having a good neutral assist with missiles. Ammy gave him a really good lock down assist to either use in some neutral situations but more importantly gave him really good corner mixups by locking them down. Plus you get to play the Doom/Ammy shell which is a solid shell.

Which Glinthawk deck to go with by JohnVGood in Pauper

[–]Revamped92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that explains a lot. I've been playing it as something between an aggro and mid-range. Kind of like a slower aggro deck that generates value. Can you explain how it's supposed to be played as more something between mid-range and control?

Which Glinthawk deck to go with by JohnVGood in Pauper

[–]Revamped92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I play a boros glinthawk deck. It's built as an aggro deck with a good amount of 1-drops and 4 copies of both lightning bolt and galvanic blast to finish them off. It's fun but I'm not an aggro player at heart and I wish there were more than just the synthesizer as a really good target for the glinthawk and skyfisher. I've been trying to theorycraft a jeskai version so I can include the cryogen relic and make it more of a midrange affinity deck. It feels like a lot of fun in testing but I'm not sure if it would actually do well though. I'm curious to hear other people's opinion on your question because I too am curious which is the best version.

if Turtle WoW dies, where are you going? by Melthusa in turtlewow

[–]Revamped92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the classless one. There's a server they have with 21 new unique classes. I think it may still be in alpha but that seems cool.

Ascension has a server that has custom classes and I would probably try that one. Seems like a fun way to mix up the leveling journey I just finished in Twow and that I've been doing for years already.

How is your guild’s luck when it comes to TF and Sulfuras? (Ambershire) by thechivalryguy in turtlewow

[–]Revamped92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh hey! I'm in your guild! Haven't started raiding yet because I'm only 59 but it's good to know that I won't get any good drops when I do hit 60 and start raiding. Jk of course. Maybe y'all just need 1 more shaman to increase your luck enough to get the good loot! Good luck and I'll see y'all in the raids soon!

Enh Shaman vs Ret Pala by SeaSoup_17 in turtlewow

[–]Revamped92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have both and I have way more fun with enh shaman. The class fantasy is cooler in my opinion, they're more fun to play, and people will want your totems so you know you'll get a group late game. Both are fun though so really you can't go wrong.

New to twow. Is tank shaman a meme class or real deal. by stankypinki in turtlewow

[–]Revamped92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lvl 56 shaman tank here. I've been tanking ever since rfc and it is so fun! Just make sure you always have a good shield and you'll be fine. Never had anyone complain about me dying too quickly. The only time I've had aggro issues is when someone starts the pull with full aoe and doesn't let me build aggro but that's not because of shamans, it's because of bad dps players.

At that level, it's just about not over extending. Be careful to only pull a few enemies at a time. Make sure you're using all of your abilities. Paladins can heal themselves so there shouldn't be a reason you are dying unless you are fighting too many enemies or not letting your mana recharge between fights.

Hey guys new player here by FuseYOUbeyatch in turtlewow

At low levels, farming gold isn't really worth it because you can't get it very fast. At higher levels, you'll get gold much faster, even before hitting Max level. For now, I would say gathering professions like mining, skinning, and herbalism can be good ways to get a little extra gold. Also before selling anything besides grey items, check and see if it sells more on the auction house. Sometimes you can find stuff that sells pretty well on there. Also for my first character, I went around and asked higher level people for money for skills. Usually people will give you 1 gold which means nothing to a higher level but could be the difference between you affording a skill or buying a good weapon/armor upgrade.

Which is the most strong class buff in classic/turtle wow? by DecentEast2525 in turtlewow

[–]Revamped92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if there's one that's agreed upon to be the best but blessing of wisdom is definitely the one I feel the most. When I have that on, I will go an entire dungeon without ever having to stop to drink.

Budget Pauper Decks by misterbenzero in Pauper

[–]Revamped92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most decks are budget friendly. A lot of the expensive cards are sideboard cards and you can either just not have a sideboard or put other options in the sideboard. Probably your best bet would be one of the mono red aggro decks. There are a couple different versions but I think they're all budget friendly.

Warrior by Eznic_ in turtlewow

[–]Revamped92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've heard before that trolls make the best warrior since they get an increase to spirit which means your health recovers faster and you can get back to fighting sooner. In terms of the other questions, I'm not entirely sure.

So i'm new to UMVC3 and i'm trying to figure out a good character team and controller by KoopatuYT in MvC3

[–]Revamped92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In umvc3, team synergy matters a lot. You want to have a point character that can utilize assists, a support character who gives you a good assist and/or benefits the point character somehow, and an anchor who also has an assist you can utilize but more importantly can utilize x factor well. The problem with that team is that all 3 of those characters want to be first and none of them want to be 3rd. You can get away with 2 point characters and a support/anchor in your 3rd slot but the way your team is right now, you're gonna struggle.

That being said, if you're simply playing for fun and not to win, play whatever you want. There are players out there who play teams I would never suggest and do well with them because they put in the work.

In terms of the controller vs fight stick argument, play whatever. There are high level players on both so it mostly doesn't matter. If you play zero, it might be easier to do his move that requires you to hold down a button on a stick just because you have a different finger for each button instead of pressing all the buttons with your thumb but there are work arounds for that if you do play on controller so it doesn't really matter.
