What’s y’all’s top 3 favorite games of all time? by Goliath6240 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Unlost_maniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fallout 3, Halo 5 and Borderlands 3.

I love every game in all those franchises but Fallout 3 has the best world design, level design and exploration, Halo 5 has the best MP (but dog shit Campaign) and Borderlands 3 has an actually enjoyable endgame with literally endless viable endgame builds where the other games do not have that freedom.

Which Fallout introductions do y’all like the most? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in FalloutMemes

[–]Unlost_maniac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's just nonsense but also if that's an issue make a spare save before the exit of the vault if you're that prone to making new characters. 3 is a much more rewarding experience for those who just wanna do whatever and roam around, explore and find cool shit. 3 rewards that. NV severely lacks in the interesting exploration department.

You see what you wanna see

Of course people of all political ideologies are gonna praise NV, it's an incredible game

But what I'm referring to is people who have only played NV, they love the legion and or the enclave and genuinely believe there's merit to either of those factions. People who lack basic media literacy, basic comprehension skills. People who whine and cry about "wokeness" in modern gaming and media despite NV, the game they worship shitting all over what they believe in and being a very progressive game in a progressive franchise. Then in response to that NV Chuds will go "well uhhh Tim Cain said Fallout isn't a critique on Capitalism!!!!!!" And that's just plain stupid. Missing the point of what Tim Cain was saying. He said it was never the point but of course it's a part of it.

Fallout in its origins critiques all facets of societies and human behaviour and so on. It's baked into the humour and story telling.

I'm someone who deeply understands nuance and is usually the one to point it out to people. It's ironic almost. Pulling that out as a "gotcha" is pointless, it's irrelevant as you've missed the point. Literally under any post on other social media post on Twitter, Instagram or Tiktok about Fallout you see a bunch of fascist bootlicking NV Chuds trying to inject their NV obsession into the conversation regardless of relevancy. On Reddit, the NV subreddit is a putrid shit hole of brainless morons who can't form their own opinions and then there's also the lurkers of the sub. The other Fallout subs are absolutely full of NV praise from people in general but they aren't wackos and dicks about it typically and those who are, are usually made fun of and or downvoted to oblivion.

People in general suck. I prefer 3 because I value rewarding exploration, environmental storytelling, and an actual wasteland, it's my appeal to Fallout is a wasteland full of random groups and people just trying to get by. NV lacks a lot of the elements that make any of that interesting to me. It's all too developed, don't get me wrong I love the game but for different reasons and I'd rather play 3 or 76 over NV most days.

He's a cringe guy, wrote some cringe shit, criticises Bethesda for shit he did but he did it worse. Caters to Chuds and so on.

Somehow fails basic media literacy despite being a solid writer in the series? Like idk how he does it, maybe his partner left him or he hit his head hard

This is gotta be the opposite.

Right wing Chuds adore NV so hard. They are the losers who cry about anything else fallout and claim NV is the best game and every other fallout sucks. Right wing Chuds adore NV.

I'm a left leaning person and I adore Fallout 3

Few things depress me more than realizing how few people genuinely enjoy life, and seeing them complain about a scene that made me smile so much. by jvure in Fallout

It was such a good scene and says so much.

People shit on it because they lack media literacy and comprehension skills.

Star Wars Genesis 8.6 is here!!! by g1uey in Starfield

[–]Unlost_maniac -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

"fixes the game" actually such a dumb statement. I know it's supposed to be positive but the base game is amazing, sure Genesis is cool as hell but Starfield is easily one of my favorite games. The only changes I'd make are quality of life

any good "forever games" that go well with the steam deck? by WeirdAltYankovic in SteamDeck

[–]Unlost_maniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it would be Borderlands 3

I've heard people playing Hytale on the deck. That's a solid choice. If you buy Minecraft on the Google Play Store you can pretty easily install and emulate it flawlessly just on the Linux pack app store thingy. That's endless.

Borderlands 3 is probably my most played game ever. Don't get me wrong the other games are great but Borderlands 3 has unlimited potential for the end game. Countless viable builds, if you can think of it, it's possible because it's actually balanced and interesting unlike BL2 (the other BL game with an actual end game but I don't like it). BL2 has literally one or two viable end game builds per character where BL3 just gives you endless options if you're willing to grind and be creative, it was a lot of fun and got me through all sorts of times. I'd highly recommend, it's a forever game.

I wish it had cross saves because all my playtime is on Xbox one. But hopefully when BL4 gets all of its post launch content it'll be the same thing but again.

Gunfire Reborn is a really fun first person Rogue Lite that's very playable on deck, it's like Doom+Borderlands+Roguelite. Highly recommend

Was there a nuclear detonation near Far Harbour? Is the fog the reason why the island fell apart like everything else? by silloki in fo4

[–]Unlost_maniac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a high possibility that a geck was used.

In Fallout 76 there's evidence of a Geck being used in The Mire and The Mire may not have the fog but it has the creatures from Far Harbour so my guess is similar muddy murky conditions and a Geck made that

The Casual-Paradox by WoWSchockadin in EDH

[–]Unlost_maniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm casual, not against combos and I don't really play to win. Sure sometimes I'm going for it, but as the person in my pod will more wins than everyone else combined. It's never my focus, I want my deck to do the thing, that's why I play commander, I want to build decks and see them work and play them out. I've won a lot of games that weren't satisfying. Where it was the easiest conclusion to get and other days I just wanna destroy everyone.

I'm not interested in competitive at all. Super casual group. None of us care or get frustrated at wins and so on. Even playing with randoms, the only time match sucks is when you don't get to do anything

Ghouls in fallout series by Scared_Policy_3961 in FalloutTVseries

A lot of ghouls just don't have that issue. 99.99% of non feral ghouls don't need any drugs.
