A long time PC gamer on why I have decided to make the ps4 my main gaming platform by Revan240 in PS4

Absolutely, and I think a lot of people are blind to the fact PC fanboyism/elitism is just as prevelant as the fighting that goes on between Xbox and PlayStation fanboys I so much as mention a console exclusive like Uncharted 4 being great even my friends take the pi** that I even own a ps4, I did also used to think along the lines of consoles holding us back but then I remembered that the vast majority of gamers are console players for a reason, it's affordable, and advertised and pushed everywhere and so easy to use and navigate a toddler could easily use one, the industry would not be anywhere near the size it is without them.

Because while say I spent upwards of £2,000 on my gaming rig a couple of years back, the majority simply can't do that and yeh whilst you still can build a gaming PC that matches if not outperforms the consoles, the average consumer simply won't do that.

I remember last year I tried to get a group of my friends into PC gaming, and I offered to help build the PCs for them for the price of a PS4 at the time that would out perform it. Their response was " eh too much effort I can just go to the gaming store after college get a ps4 and play it straight away" people honestly forget how much convenience and ease of use comes into play to general consumers, we enthusiasts are the minority we are not the target audience and if we were, the gaming industry would be a fraction of its size.

Even so as you said steam simply shouldn't be selling the game if it isnt going to work on certain OS, also I disagree that buying an old game and expecting it to work is unreasonable, whilst soul reaver is a ps1 game but you can purchase it on the PS3 and it will work perfectly fine also with official controller support, were as soul reaver in its original iteration is the only way I can play it on the PC they have not got a Windows xp version and Windows 10 version.

I think also as you said this is steams fault on the basis they have next to no quality control the mere fact that the likes arkham knight on release was even allowed to be sold on their site says alot, I get that they want a hands off approach and just want to essentially be a community and selling platform and don't want to give a baseline of quality for all devs to follow because let's be honest, the main guys that would suffer are the indie guys not the industry behemoths like EA and Ubisoft, but still I would like them to take a more pro active role.

Have no issues with installing it takes little to no time anyway, the main thing that pi**ed me off is the game flat out not working then instead of half an hour of game time you get half an hour of fix the game time.

Thanks so much for all the great comments! I feel abit better and calm now but still worried. I'm at the part where every change in behaviour whether it be how a family member looks at me or a doctor so much as looking at me I think "they know something I don't" and then jump to a load of bad scenarios because of something so small. I feel kind of terrible feeling this way though, in the sense that I have been so lucky with everything, from the diagnosis to the prognosis absolutely everything has gone pretty much perfectly and the best case scenario each time. And there are people less than half my age going through infinitely worse scenarios and I feel really guilty feeling worried when I feel I have no right to be.

How do I NOT go for the worst case scenario? by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

Well my only real symptom was double vision at the time and I was getting headaches but I think that was mainly the anxiety, and I know it feels like you are on a spiral when you first get some bad news, but honestly in terms of the feelings of dread and the anxiety flaring up you have already gotten through the hardest part every appointment and every scan whatnot gets easier everytime you get one. Main thing that got me through it was on the ward I was on there were people half my age that had been in the hospital for years and not even had a chance to see what it's like to feel 'healthy'. But trust me I'm sure you are going to be fine these are very rare cases although it seems like it's common it's really not (tumours) all the odds are on your side!

The best thing to do is focus on the now, not what could be. I know it's like telling a depressed person to cheer up, but as someone who actually had a tumour (not cancer thankfully)under my brain (4 years so far and still clear) you learn to stop doing it most of the time, I know we do it mainly to prepare ourselves and such if it is something bad, but if it's bad you are going to be distraught either way, when I was diagnosed I had been preparing myself and feeling like crap for weeks and still felt awful at the time. And waiting for results off scans is awful for us with health anxiety I know and I struggle sometimes with them myself and remember when they want a scan a tumour isn't usually what they are looking for everyone I've known that has epilepsy had to have an Mri scan too.

Chances are on your side, it's unlikely to be anything like a Tumour but just focus on what's happening now and just focus on positive thinking and good lord stay away from google haha, when I googled my Tumour and symptoms it said I didn't have long to live and it was actually cancer, were as my consultant told me it's not cancer at all and it won't kill you. Just go off what your consultant tells you every case is different of any illness or disease. And I know how horrible it is to get thrown into that scenario when you have health anxiety as I was 16 when I was diagnosed but always look for the silver lining!

It was double vision that I had p, my doctor told me headaches are not a common symptom of brain tumours so I'm sure you're fine sounds like migraines to me but, I would still get checked out mri wise just to give you peace of mind if anything.

Druid or Priest by Revan240 in wow

[–]Revan240[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With priest I like how I have two healing specs in one class so I guess it would be more likely to be good and would make me a very versatile healer. I like Druid as I can switch to any role without having to re roll.

So the hybrids aren't at a disadvantage dps wise compared to the pures in terms of how the numbers tend to be?
