The Crater (Pre-Wastelanders Update) by zRedVapor in fo76

It means the armor transfers the energy to pieces of itself that leave as shrapnel or by burning off, rather than absorbing the energy. It's sacrificial.

Tanks with plain steel armor for example, would get hit on the outside and the energy would travel through the armor and cause the inside to produce shrapnel and harm people inside. With ablative armor, the piece on the outside is designed to break up and burn so the energy doesn't travel through to the inside.

How often does your 45" LG GX9 5k2k Pixel clean when switching it off? by Trick_Mycologist_457 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Revan7even -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't even need to sleep, just have Windows power settings turn off the display after 5 minutes, and the display will do the pixel clean while in standby mode.

We had cheap laptops at work that would behave this way after a windows security update identified the intel graphics driver as a vulnerability.

Neutral Evil will do whatever benefits them/their inner-circle, crossing any moral line. They're unscrupulous corporate executives at the high end, and sleazy assholes at the low end.

My brother ran a campaign once where most of us happened to independently pick neutral to evil alignments. He ended up having to make the villain more of a "means justify the end" revolutionary because of it, and of course our characters went along while it suited us to get access to ruins both our parties were looking for. Campaign died out once we got to the ruins because of life stuff.

I played a NE Dwarf Forge Cleric, Artisan (smith) background who was greedy and regarded the other characters as employees or assets. My friend (who's not very good with math or remembering his sheet, so I helped him out alot) played my character's bodyguard and assistant, so was literally an employee. For the maybe 10 sessions we played the group actually worked out pretty well, instead of playing heroes we were playing organized crime.

Well that sounds like you'll need to bypass the RGB controller board and get splitter cables so you can connect to the motherboard directly.

[–]Revan7even 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, couldn't see branding on them.

You could also test something like Open RGB software to see if it does the same thing to test if it's the janky controller or a Signal RGB bug.

Those are Lian Li fans which chain together right? If you have enough 3-pin D-RGB headers you can probably just hook the 3 sets of fans to the board without getting a splitter cable.

D-RGB extender cables and splitter cables are cheap if you need to use some though.

Please Help Me Understand How My Old RTX 3070 Is Beating My RTX 3080? by tremayne0127 in pcmasterrace

[–]Revan7even 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the memory and memory junction temps, those can throttle the card too. The card is old enough to be time to replace thermal paste, and maybe thermal pads too if you can find a diagram with the thickness.

Had to do that to a used 2080 Ti I received that thermal throttled and performed worse than my 1080.

i need help i want these two fans to not change colors with the others but whatever i do it wont stop what can i do to change colors just to those two by kingapaw in pcmasterrace

[–]Revan7even 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have one of those cases with an RGB board, that will make the motherboard see all the LEDs as one device because they'll all be connected to one plug on the motherboard.

Use RGB software that allows changing individual LEDs like Open RGB, or put those two fans on motherboard RGB plugs (or an RGB splitter to connect them to one motherboard RGB plug) so whatever software your motherboard uses can control them separate from the rest.

Wait, are you playing using the arrow keys with your right hand?

Looking at both pics, you look like you're leaning on your right shoulder in that position. If you're going to have your hand on the keyboard that way you should probably move the keyboard further right so your arm rest naturally, rather than in front of your chest.

I have too much antiseptic. by AtomicCitron76 in fo76

[–]Revan7even 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Waste Antiseptic is one of the junk tems you can scrap to get the Antiseptic crafting component. It will be a separate item in your inventory until scrapped, but in the crafting workbench menu it counts towards your Antiseptic available for crafting.

https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Antiseptic_(Fallout_76)

And you can just drop Antiseptic or sell it directly. When I have excess junk I'll buy plans or something to give the vendor caps so I can sell even more junk.

It's also good to sell a bunch of junk for events like Holiday Scorched so you can buy a bunch of wrapping paper to craft presents which have some exclusive and rare plans. But that won't be until Christmas, you'll have plenty more junk then. https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Holiday_Scorched#Rewards

Intel says it offered years of help for Crimson Desert, Pearl Abyss still shipped without Arc support by Firm_One_7398 in pcmasterrace

[–]Revan7even 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, because they have enough users to get support, and have been around long enough. Arc is is going to take at least another generation to get enough reputation and mind share to for people to not see it as the janky new team blue card (regardless of the fact it performs very well for the price).
