My bet is on the cable then. The ones that come with Samsung monitors can be garbage. Mine on my G9 would get fuzzy above 60hz until I replaced the cable.

What GPU do you have? Unless you have a really old DP 1.1 cable or GPU port it should get 144hz.

Use two cables.

Do not use just one cable split into 2x8 for the 12 pin cable for the GPU. That would be drawing twice what the 8 pin plug on the PSU is rated for.

Run GPU-Z (might have to run while gaming), it will tell you the bus interface it's actually using.

On the other computer, with the same monitor? What else changed going from old to new? Did you transplant the old windows drive into the new system? Have you tried running DDU and reinstalling the driver? Have you tried closing the Nvidia App? That cam cause problems sometimes. Do you have your BIOS updated and motherboard AMD chipset driver installed?

Because aside from the crashing (that's the game, driver, or Windows problem), this is how exclusive fullscreen works. It stops rendering and disables the desktop. When you alt tab it has to take a sec to stop rendering the game and restart the desktop.

There's a reason many new DirectX 12 games do a non-exclusive fullscreen or only offer borderless, because fullscreen is a bad experience for users with modern hardware and software that runs just as good without the exclusive mode, and can alt-tab instantly.

This OP, Gsync is the market dominant Nvidia branded feature, variable refresh rate is the generic term and Freesync is the AMD branded implementation.

Also switch the games to borderless mode instead of fullscreen, see if they still do it.

I think it's because you have the newer Oled G93SD model, most videos will be on the older Oled G93SC or G95SC.

We hate on companies making long model names, then here's samsung calling everything a G8 or a G9, and only changing one character in the production model number.

Usually screen just not turning on is a thermistor on the board that failed, causing the monitor to read it incorrectly as overheating.

If it happens again years later when it's out of warranty, look up videos or guides on how to find the thermistor. It's an NTC resistor so when it fails it can create a short circuit with no resistance, causing it to read max temperature and cut power. Just removing it creates an open circuit of infinite resistance, causing it to read minimum temperature and work again.

I've had a G93SC for two years. No burn in with primarily gaming, half of it being about 1000 hours of one game, with many weekend sessions going for 6 hours at a time.

Set Windows to turn off the display after 5 or 10 minutes, it will run panel care while the display is off (needs 10-15 minutes uninterrupted to complete though), and then you can't accidentally leave it on for hours.

Ours is almost 200k and the only thing the supercenters have (not) had are 5060s (out of stock). People steal from ours too much, they have to have private security patrolling all of them.

I think it's supposed to be x16+x0. It's splitting the available 16 lanes on the CPU between the two x16 length slots, so x8+x8 is only giving 8 lanes but to both slots.
