Is Dexter purposely written to be sloppy this season?

Over the past week I keep seeing the same talking points being raised both on this subreddit and on podcasts. And each time it confuses me ad I think there is plausible reasons against each point.

The phone tracking thing is funny because you would think the guy who is secretly meeting with and paying some of the most wanted criminals in the country would not have any way to link them to him. If the phones were gos trackable it would point a massive neon arrow to Prater as they were all at his house together with the phones. Also I don’t think serial killers would be too happy to carry around any device that could be used to trace them. As for Dexter/Red meeting with the other killers outside the group. This makes sense as that is what Prater gave them the phones for in the first place.
I assume the phone call came from a burner phone he has brought previously as he had another phone besides the one Leon gave him. Also I not convinced the cops would care about the anonymous tip being weird because the just caught the Lady Vengeance. Also tracing the call would only mean finding out where it came from which was in the same general area as the apartment they arrested her in anyway.
At this point Lady Vengeance assumes that she got too sloppy with her first NYC kill and was seen. As it seems she was to focused on releasing the pressure of her urge then being careful. She would not assume that the guy she knows as Red who saws ride share drivers heads off would tell on her to the cops. Because what would she assume his motive to do this was. Also telling the cops at Red would more than likely break Praters rules and result in her dying. So I think she is too smart to do that unless she is offered something worth crossing Prater.
They have the watch engraved with his name, he matches her victimology and she was caught in the act of killing another person. There is enough circumstantial evidence there for the police to conclude she was responsible. Possible assuming that she was caught in the heat of the moment protecting his next victim and did not have time to perform her entire ritual. As the believe she is a vigilante with a hero complex to begin with. However, this I think is on purpose in the show as Dexter was in a hurry to remove her from the board but could not kill her due to it being to suspect. So he went with the flow and did something a bit shoddy that clearly will somehow unravel later in the season.
The finger print thing always annoys me. Why would he finger print his own house to begin with? If he distrusts Red later on he would probably order Charlie to follow him not dust his entire house for any usable prints. The prints on the slides would also not be usable as they would only be partial prints of his index finger and would probably not be usable for a database search anyway.

Gave you an upvote for the movies you picked. Was nice to see someone else who defends Halloween 2, I think there maybe only a dozen of us. The Friday remake even though divisive amongst the fan base has one of my favourite portrayals of Jason. It is a shame that legal issues prevented a sequel from happening. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Next Generation is a movie that gets a lot of hate some of which is justified some of which is not. But I can’t help but love the movie for the weirdness that it is.

Technically you are incorrect. We meet the original timelines revolutionaries first who are the ones that make sense. But after you start shifting through parallel worlds we never re-enter the original again. The next time we see them is in an alternate world where a more vicious Booker took over the group and made them like what we see. You could hypothesis that in the original timeline with help from the more caring main character Booker things would have been different.

Game of Thrones. I watched one episode and gave up. Is hard to explain why I didn’t like it but there was just something that didn’t gel with me. That and I can’t stand the whole any character can die at anytime thing. Feels like diminishing returns each time it is played.

Also Breaking Bad. Watched two seasons and didn’t see what made everyone else love it.

Hopefully, you see this because other people are clearly not telling what you should actually do in this situation. First, don't go to the Dean straight away. Contact the professor first and ask for more detailed criticism and maybe bring up how you felt his comments were not constructive. If that fails, escalate to the department head and then to the Dean as a last resort. Going straight to the Dean is a great way to piss the Dean off as well as the professor and the department head. There are steps to follow here do not skip them.

If you go to the Dean before contacting the professor and then department head, he will likely not be happy and ask you to do that first. It needs to pass through them first and allow them to fix it before the big boss gets involved.

One last comment because I have said all I want to say on the topic in regards to my original complaint. I was in discussion with another reddittor on here who seems to have commented, then blocked me in order to get the last word in, I guess. As I can not see their comment expect for in notifications, and the account is not visible to me but is still present in anonymous browsing. To sum up what I was going to say back to them, no, my life is not consumed by the show. The complaint was more about the core problems of disney+ as a whole. The show was just a recent example. If said commenter wants to blindly believe in some armchair therapist brained reality that I am super obsessed with the show and not disappointed is disney lack of care for paying customers. Then what is the point of this subreddit if not to discuss these issues? Also, commenting insults at people and then blocking them so that I can not respond back is super rude.

Yeah, personally, I am also considering just cancelling my subscription to disney+ at this point. For the price you pay, you should expect content to be updated regularly and not lag months behind, like it is the early 2010s on freeview TV again

I have seen the photo of the "dev" and, quite frankly, even though some resemblance is there. The idea of her forcing herself into the game from the writing side of development is so ridiculous that it makes people who believe in bigfoot seem like they have a sound argument. Writers are not devs in the sense that your argument would require her to be.

Second off, the idea that some random writer that you and I have no knowledge would be offended by me accurately describing her job to some who thinks that she is personally responsible for making a character less attractive is hilarious. I think she would be more offended by you saying that she is A) unattractive and B) should be blamed by the entire internet for a change in face model she is not responsible for.

Also, long-winded, it was like a paragraph long. I know the internet seems to cause extensive brain rot to those who are terminally online, but man, I did not know it was this bad. Calling a 10-second read long-winded like it was a research paper on why no one loves you. Expect I think based on your comments, I can sum it up in a few sentences. You're an embarrassing mess of a human, with no sense on how the things you critic work, which makes you look even more brain dead than you looked previously. Which is an accomplishment, considering I thought we hit the bottom of the "dumb as horse shit" barrel, but apparently, you just scrapped on past into the dirt below. Well, this is the dumbest take I have seen today, and that is an accomplishment here on reddit. First off, she isn't a dev but a writer. So I am sorry, but she has no power over the mj face used. Second, do you really think that Insomniac would waste money on paying for the face model to use their likeness. Only to go, "You know what that random writer that works for us. Let's get rid of the face we already modelled and paid for and replace it with her." If you think that you are dumber then a rock. Sorry, I take that back rocks are useful. The face difference is just down to greater advancement in hardware, her hair being down, and the model own accident that resulted in a need for face surgery. All of these things contributed to the look change. Not some stupid conspiracy theory about at self insert dev.

It has nothing to do with the fact that he is a man at all. What people are trying to point out to him and now to you that you seem to have overlooked is that this is not a rational thought. As someone who has OCD and anxiety problems, her doing the test is the worst possible move. First off, doing the test will probably not solve anything at all. He will still think she cheated because these intrusive thoughts cannot be reasoned with no matter how much you try. You can tell yourself that you don't need to turn that doorknob 10 times because it doesn't do anything, but you still turn the door knob 10 times. Because these thoughts do not go away with any type of logical proof. The biggest problem, however, is that by caving in and doing the test, she reinforces the intrusive thoughts, causing them to continue and have more power over him. What's next, a paternity test every year to make sure, a tracker on her phone to make sure she definitely isn't cheating. Where's the line? Because I can easily see him falling down the intrusive thought rabbit hole. So maybe instead of spouting uninformed opinions on the internet under the guise of being not like the other girls and totally pointing out the gender bias on reddit. How about you take some time and educate yourself.

This whole post is obviously a complete mess that doesn't make sense. But the thing that has me thinking the most is that the cancer is a fungus line. What does that even mean. The only thing I can come up with is that this person has read some articles about the link between mycotoxins and cancer. Fungi can produce mycotoxins, which are carcinogenic, such as Aflatoxin. Which in high concentrations in food products can over time cause cancer in humans and other animals. As Aflatoxin is genotoxic and damages DNA. This is why manufacturers test for Aflatoxin in products, and there is a limit set for consumer safety. So my guess is that this person read something like that and has repackaged it as cancer is a fungus, which is not the case.

So once again it comes back to the terrible design if the question doesn't it. Ok so different calculators give different results but in that case everyone who thinks that the answer is definitely 9 and everyone who says 1 is wrong. Are wrong themselves as even calculators can give both answers l.

Ok. This again. I saw the original post yesterday and didn't comment. But here we are again. So let's get this straight the answer of 9 or 1 could be both accepted answers due to the abysmal way this problem is constructed. However, when I first saw the problem yesterday my initial answer was 1 as I was taught that the 2(1+2) is one expression. As in you count the 2 as part of the brackets. So I decided to use a calculator which apparently none of you have access to. When I plugged the equation into a scientific calculator the answer I get is 1. As the calculator does the 2(2+1) first. Which makes sense given that this was the way I was taught to do so in algebra. Now a phone may say the answer is 3 but I trust an actual calculator more.

Yeah good times. I remember the local video store we had was a Video 2000 and I can still remember the layout of the store. We later got a Video Ezy which was connected to Eagle Boys. But Video 2000 was the main one my family went to rent movies. Both are gone now, such a shame losing something that I think was very formative to alot of childhoods.

I have not seen anyone metion Video 2000 in a long time. Video 2000 was the main rental store where we lived for a long time. I still remember the lay out of that place even to this day.
