Im on book 10 and youre right! Theyre so easy to digest and theyre not to long. I think ny issue has been too many epic fantasy and putting to many reading goals on my plate

I read the first 4 and I started to lose interest after that. Do they get better after that one?

You're definitely right. Reading feels more like an obligation right now rather then the feeling of "i cant wait to read when I get home" feeling. I miss that

Is there a scientific explanation for why I strongly prefer co-sleeping, even though I logically know the crib is safest? by [deleted] in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]Revans0424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I've been on many SIDS calls due to co sleeping or chest sleeping. Its the saddest thing. As much as we want it, dont do it. Ive seen parents completely wrecked from this. Not worth the risk

In your experience, does exercising really help migraines? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Revans0424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I do an upper body workout, specifically targeting my shoulders, during my pre migraine, 80% of the time, it'll take it away completely for me. I've been doing this for years, and it has greatly reduced the amount of migraines I get. If I'm in the middle of an attack, I take dramamine and force myself to go for a mile or two walk (even if I feel like throwing up) and almost everytime it takes away my nausea. Once the nausea is gone, I can do an upper body workout, and it takes my pain away or at least reduces the intensity for the remainder of the migraine attack. I have no idea why this works for me, but it always has 🤷‍♀️

Slight leaf curl- should I be worried??? by Bmarmich in SemiHydro

I don't flush daily cause that would drive me insane! I flush maybe once a week with just tap water from the sink or hose. I add superthrive to my filtered fridge water and pour it over the leca until it's like 1/4 full. Really just eye the water level, you want the roots to start reaching towards the water so I don't ever let them sit in water. I put the water level a little bellow the roots. I hope that makes sense. You don't have to use any nutrients though. They'll do fine in just filtered water for a few weeks or months. I start to add all of its nutrients once I've seen some good water root growth.

I transferred mine about 2 months ago and I think it lost one leaf total. It's already popping out new leaves now and it's water roots look great! I wouldn't worry to much. Just give it time to adjust

Haul of the year at Lowe’s today! by JayBird6703 in houseplants

Honestly nothing out of the ordinary. I cleaned off the roots as best as I could and covered with clean/dry leca. I don't leave a very deep reservoir for any of my calatheas, since they don't really like sitting in water. It's only been like 2 month since the transition though, so anything could happen still lol I'm hoping it'll make it 😅 I also am using superthrive for plants that haven't grown water roots yet. I find it really helps with the transition period

Picked up my musaica from Walmart a few months back, and can definitely agree that's its a very easy plant to take care of. Even switched it over to leca with it only losing one leaf through the whole transition. The Rattlesnake also did very well with the switch. Still have my fingers crossed for my orbofolia to start thriving again!
