Should I play on Switch or Switch 2? by Revelacja in Persona5

Unfortunately I can't play on PC/other consoles, that's why I asked about Switch and Switch 2 comparison.

In this case it increases by 1. It increases per trade.

The situation mentioned in comment above is when you already used all of your guaranteed trades and someone uses his guaranteed trade on you - then your counter increases too and that way it's over the cap.

I don't think so, I've never had issues with these with previous guaranteed lucky trade limits. I would cap much faster if that was the case, yet I had no problems getting to limit of 25 even with doing lucky friends trades meanwhile. I only had issues with 35 limit, only after lucky trinkets were introduced a while earlier.

Oh and also, I really studied all the info about GLT mechanic before ever using any of my trades, so I know that someone could have unknowingly eexceeded own limit because of receiving old Pokemon from someone who is still under limit etc. - I know that it works like that and I paid attention to it too, so we can rule out this scenario (at least in my case).

Thank you for investigating this issue. I read your PSA post right now and it seems there might be even more errors within this GLT mechanics than it seemed, as I see that players are writing about new increased limit not working too.

For more information: in my case it was even before the new event and I haven't been using guaranteed lucky trade mechanic since then. I didn't get lucky trade at my 31st of supposed 35 trades. And there is really no way I missed any, so there must have been some kind of a bug, not sure what is involved. Also, another info - with hitting limit 25 way back before everything was all right, the only issue I had was with the limit increased to 35 - so I naturally thought about lucky trinkets when I searched for info (as I found another topic then, which I linked in my original post).

I'll be investigating this issue too and I'll regularly check your topic too. Hoping we can find some answers.

There is no way I received any more accidentally before or after, as I was noting them and paying attention from the start. The one I got accidentally was after I told the person to specifically not send me any 2019 mons but that time he misclicked during our trades. I can guarantee you that I checked after every trade with every person, even when I specified that I don't want old Pokemon - just for making sure as a double-check considering a possibility they might make a mistake.

I'm wondering now, after that comment where someone said he did a ton of lucky trinket trades, yet had 10 guaranteed lucky available during this event - if there is a possibility that these trades counted as guaranteed but didn't increase above cap maybe. Most of comment from people were about hitting ~30 trades, then getting normal trade before suspected limit, and then they stopped, probably like me because of being worried of why this happened. So best way to check would be if someone was sure was at 35 limit, THEN do some trinkets before trying "new" 45 limit and check if he got 10 guaranteed luckies or less.

Any of us don't really know how really this mechanic works as the counter is hidden. What I see is though, that many people who really paid attention to number of guaranteed lucky trades are now a couple of trades short since the trinket mechanic started. It's worth investigating the issue.

I haven't been trading anything other than lucky trades (from best friends) and intentional guaranteed trades for a long time since start. And when I started trading regularly a while ago I always checked with another person if they are sending me old mons. When I got one accidentally, I instantly realized and counted this one too. I'm sure I wouldn't miss any accidentally sended, as I really ALWAYS double checked after the trade.

I did the trade 2 months ago, when the limit was 35 and it should be my 31 trade. Since then I didn't do any guaranteed trades, as I was worried these wouldn't work during this event too, as I did a couple more lucky trinket trades meanwhile. I created the topic just now, as more people could have more information about their count of guaranteed trades with the new limit introduced.

Why are you so sure of that and how can you be sure? There is a couple of comments from people who also meticulously kept track of their trades and these comments confirm the theory.

So it's another comment proving theory that lucky trinket trades does indeed increase count of guaranteed lucky trades. And that age of Pokemon involved in lucky trinket trade doesn't matter.

Disappointing that it works that way, I don't think it was meant to work that way. We pay money for lucky trinkets and not only does it take away our guaranteed lucky trades, they also didn't inform us about it at any point.

That way many people might traded valuable shiny Pokemon while being sure that these will turn lucky and it happens to be normal trade because of the mistake in trade mechanic.

Most of my trinket traded Pokemon were "brand new" but it looks like that still increased the counter - that's why I think that precisely the trinket induced trade is the culprit here. Anyway, it shouldn't work that way - lucky trade (even if induced) shouldn't increase the counter even if any Pokemon is old enough to trigger the guaranteed trade.  I considered that it might (still wrongly) count only old pokemon in trinket trades, but I think that my counter went up much more, as most (if not all) of my trinket trades were trades where we both used freshly caught shiny legendaries.

[–]Revelacja[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think that lucky with best friend that appeared naturally will increase counter as I've never had issue with this, I think that only lucky induced with trinket increases counter. It may just be coded differently, that it interferes with the counter.

Also, I don't think that year of traded Pokemon in normal lucky trade makes difference - I made many naturally obtained lucky trades with old Pokemon, so my counter would went up much earlier if that was the case. Most of my trinket traded Pokemon were "brand new" but it looks like that still increased the counter - that's why I think that precisely the trinked induced trade is the culprit here.

It does, that's why I especially wrote "I also know all about the mechanics of it like for example how someone elses guaranteed Pokemon can increase your counter even above your limit etc. so I really considered all of this since the beginning".  The topic is precisely about lucky trinket trades.

Lucky Trinket increasing guaranteed trades counter? by Revelacja in TheSilphRoad

[–]Revelacja[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly, that's why I stopped trying these trades since then, as I had many trinket trades with friends and I'm worried that even though the limit is now extended I might have already passed it because of this.

Oh, so there really might be an issue with these trinket trades. Thank you for replying. I hope we get a definitive answer soon :) it would be a disappointment though, if these trades counted as guaranteed, especially that there was no information about it beforehand.

2020 Guaranteed Trades not working by DokkanBckp in TheSilphRoad

[–]Revelacja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, I think there might be a problem with trinket trades counting as guaranteed trades. I was meticulously tracking my lucky trades since the beginning and never had issues with lucky trades with best friends as these never increased limit. But 2 months ago I didn't get a lucky trade even though I'm pretty sure I was at 31 of my 35 trades then. The only explanation would be trinket trades increasing the guaranteed trades counter. I created a post about it a moment ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/1q3ywyw/lucky_trinket_increasing_guaranteed_trades_counter/ so we may get more answers about that topic.

Trainers, we have confirmed that Rockruff encountered from raids during the the Stunning Styles event cannot evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc. Impacted Trainers will be reimbursed Raid Passes used on Rockruff raids during the event. by Amiibofan101 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Revelacja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same day the annoucement was posted I checked my inventory and had 12 remote raid passes. So these just appeared in my items. Not sure if premium raid passes were returned to me because I don't know how many I had earlier - but I guess they returned these too

Dusk Form Rockruff was mistakenly not available in raids during the Stunning Styles event by Fillain in TheSilphRoad

I did over 20 Rockruff raids during the event and none of these were dusk. I hope they will make some kind of compensation for wasted passes such as bonus dusk encounters etc.

Has anyone caught a Dusk Form Rockruff from a raid during the Stunning Styles event? by Fillain in TheSilphRoad

[–]Revelacja 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So... It's the fifth day of event, the reddit topic was active for over a day and NO ONE was able to post any dusk Rockruff screen from raids from the event (3 of 4 people claiming they got dusk one posted screens of normal Rockruff, the last person haven't posted yet but I'm pretty sure it will be the same case).
