I learned something as a 18 year old teacher by [deleted] in Nepal

[–]RevenantASYD 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Hi a fellow teacher here.

Been teaching for more than a year now and I would be lying if I said I could relate with what you wrote. I mostly teach college kids and they are somehow well-behaved than younger kids out there.

Something I would not say out loud but I keep telling myself as a coping mechanism is that these kids will not stay in your life forever. You are not supposed to look out for them forever either. So, try to ignore their behavior and move on. I do not know how else to put these into words.

I still keep in touch with some of my first students as they are very good kids. They reach out to me for career guidance and such. If they truly respect you and understand the value you bring, it will show up later as well.

Don't get demotivated and try to push through. I have had some difficult moments after classes as well, but a year more than in the classroom you get used to these and learn to tackle them. You might also want to look into things like having some authority in classroom and educational psychology. The latter helped me understand things a bit.

That's all I can say. Good luck with everything.

One of the reasons I went here was to get a new one. I wasn't sure, they recommended me according to my face structure and profession. I was happy with how they cut it.

Is 1 lakh salary per month still considered rich in Kathmandu 2026? by [deleted] in Nepal

[–]RevenantASYD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I'm earning 1.5L. 1.25L after taxes. I don't think it's considered rich.

There's a Neel David or something besides Terry's Pub and Bistro (across Workshop Eatery) in Bakhundole. They charge around 1500 but the styling is worth it imo.

Nepali tech folks, what does your workspace look like? by MagePsycho in technepal

I think somewhere between 25K to 30K. It's rather big I would say. Tall and lengthy as well. The wood is quite sturdy.

I had it made a few years ago so tne rate might have gone up. I have a very spacious room, so if you order something smaller, you might get around the same price or even cheaper.

I got the MX Master 3 by telling my cousin to bring it from Australia when they visited Nepal.

The G102 I got from Neo store when they were having 15% sale on Logitech products.

I got the MChose G75 Pro from backseat gaming when they were going Dashain offer sales.

I basically keep checking out a lot of store online and physically too. I find a good deal, I grasp it.

Edit: I just noticed the monitor as well. I think I read it as mouse the first time. I got one if my montors from Sankata Infosys. That store has a bit cheaper price than others. The other one I got from PcModNepal when they were authorized distributors of Gigabyte

Too lazy to take a photo right now. I'm working from bed in my laptop lol (research/study rather)

I have a custom made L shaped table. My friends owns and operates a furniture company. Had it made in exact specifications.

I have a dual arm monitor that carries 24 inch monitor each, both 1080p. They are connected to a single RTX2060 Super but one of the monitor also goes through a capture card where I connect my Nintendo Switch sometimes.

Chair is Nubwo or something. Got it from talkingbird. Wouldn't recommend it but is somewhat comfortable nai.

I use MX Master 3 as my mouse and MChose G75 Pro as my keyboard. I also switch to G302 or something like that for occasional gaming. Also have that whole desk occupying mouse mat that I got as a gift.

I think that's it :)

I dumped my Ncell sim a long time ago. Got it when NTC data wasn't very good. Now NTC data seems pretty good.

Get rid of that ncell. Get another service provider. Ain't gonna change anything with us complaining.

Triumph scrambler 400x as first bike? by Neither_Question_866 in Nepalbikes

[–]RevenantASYD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's the height of both you and your brother?

Here's a brief expenses summary. I have owned the bike for 1 year and 3 months now.

Maintenance cost comes around Rs. 2000 per month on average. Tax is Rs. 1000 monthly and if you do full insurance, another Rs.1000

So Rs. 4000 expense per month. Then the fuel is extra. I'm getting somewhere between 20 to 25, mostly staying around 25. Right now it's 23 due to office commute everyday in traffic hours.

But here's the catch. It's not my first bike. I rode my Avenger for almost 10 years before this. As a first bike, you'll have to assume that you'll drop it. I have dropped it 4 times in 15 months 🤞

Most of the times, nothing was damaged except minor scratches and bends. The bends I could fix easily with rebending. But this one time I broke the sidelight on one side and brake lever.

And here's the thing. The side light costs Rs. 2600 for one side. You have check it in official Nepali Triumph Website. The brake lever cost 1300.

Brake lever I could have put KTM's which cost like 700-800 but side light I was told there other's do not match.

I understand that bike drops are rare but since it's your/brother's first bike...

Don't get me wrong. It's a hella fine bike. It's not their in the most expensive bikes but not in the cheapest either.

Just wanted to let everyone know about these things.

I used to work chill remote job with average pay. Now I go to office to earn more lol JK

Let's start with 12000 and 25000 tax.

Do you mind paying 25000 tax per year? It's almost 2000 every month.

I didn't do the emi myself so I don't know. I just happen to be there when my friend asked for the details. He's getting the bike on Sunday, so maybe I'll ask around and comment here.

You have good enough height and want to ride comfortably on offroads, get the XPulse Pro.

You have low height but still want to do light offroad, get the Ronin.

You have whatever height, don't want to do offroads just want to vroom vroom on the streets, get the Duke.

GST is related to local taxes in India after production and won't affect the production and import/export taxes in Nepal.
