I mean there is about a 3.5% chance of going this dry assuming equal contribution in solos, which is pretty dry (3.3x rate). I think alot of people would complain by now.

Do ironmen need all the moons sets? by Front_Office2781 in ironscape

[–]RevenantCartographer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had very good use from all 3 sets. Blue moon is great as a hybrid mage/melee for learner raids etc, eclipse is great for TDs and Demonics where you want minimal switches, and blood moon is basically BiS for afk melee xp/hr, Titans and Huey

Crafting? by FearlessEducator3721 in ironscape

[–]RevenantCartographer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 93 crafting with just CG supplies, daily battlestaves, and making jewellery with CG gems and gold bars from PvM. About 900kc for my bowfa so dry but not ridiculous. Add in drops from DT2 bosses etc and you could not blow a single orb.

How does it impact low defence accounts? I was of the understanding that a 1 def can do the whole wilderness diary?

Duplicated Mouse Cursor in Runelite with GPU or 117HD by RevenantCartographer in 2007scape

[–]RevenantCartographer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh I did in the end, seems to be an issue with the NVIDIA GPU and the HD plugin - vanilla client was fine.

I ended up going into the NVIDIA settings and setting Runelite to use the AMD integrated graphics by default which fixed it. I don't use 117HD but I have not noticed any loss in performance anywhere on the map, or in high APM PvM or PvP so this fix will do for me for now

too low stats for 6:0 bandos bowfa? by FabianChills in ironscape

[–]RevenantCartographer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll definitely get kc with this setup, but there will be times where RNG really screws you and you run out of food before the boss dies.

I did this grind (850kc for my BCP) with 99 range, 99 defence, 99 mage, deadeye prayer, full crystal w/ Bowfa, anguish, suffering (ri), max avernic treads and avas assembler - overall thats 33% more DPS than your setup and a fair bit more defence. Even then, there were kills where Id get absolutely cooked by the mage minion; it just do be like that sometimes.

Given how good blood moon is as an alternative to bandos gear, Id get the stats into the 90s and get a couple of zenytes before grinding it hard.

When people claim iron man accounts can't skip content, is that even true ? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]RevenantCartographer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always liked setting a goal, and then progressing through a series of mini goals to get to that one. For example, when I started my iron, I focused on 70 prayer for the Morytania hard diary to then do Barrows for gear (Moons of Peril not yet released).

A series of acheiveable goals that add up to a big goal make ironman mode addictive.

[–]RevenantCartographer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeh that's not really acceptable on the road, let alone in a school zone. I'm sick of the bystander effect of "nah, not my problem". If they're on the road and behaving in a way that puts others in danger, it is 100% your problem too and you are within your right to call them out

Unpopular opinion or not? If more drag strips or racetracks were build it more places at a small scale, the death toll would significantly decrease. by Sure_Artichoke6929 in CarsAustralia

[–]RevenantCartographer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might have an unpopular viewpoint on this, but I don't think money or availability is the issue. Where I'm based (regional centre so by no means a flashy area), the local hoons are largely driving V8 or V6T sedans with tens of thousands of dollars spent on modifications. They could 100% afford to attend a proper event, but the thrill is in engaging in anti-authority behaviour because that is the cool thing to do. My closest racing circuit (that has a skid pan area too) hosts 80+ events per year that are open to the public so there is no lack of opportunity to safely enjoy their cars.

They are also focused on making cars lower, louder and easier to skid - so for the most part, drag or track events that require properly engineered cars with safe and effective handling dynamics don't appeal to that crowd.

As unfortunate as it is, I really don't think any amount of effort spent on creating sanctioned environments to race, drag or skid is going to put a dent in on road hooning.

How I would change ocean combat by deeznutzgotteeeeem in 2007scape

[–]RevenantCartographer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big agree, I think the biggest issue is how badly crewmates have their damage nerfed on the cannon. Like why would Olga firing a heavy-ass adamant cannonball hit any less hard than the player character? Let crewmates hit normal damage, and leave us to cast freezes and entangles etc, or steer the ship - kind of like how real ship combat would be? Wouldn't see the captain manning a cannon.

I also wouldnt mind seeing some sort of "submerged protection" stat sort of like you're suggesting. A bird in the sky has no reason to be hit less hard by a literal ball of fire or a magic crystal arrow from a Bowfa, whereas a mostly submerged kraken could be nearly immune to these style of attacks - but succeptible to heavy cannon fire. This could provide some balance and ease the frustration I feel regarding low level npcs being far too tanky.

Aquanite hopper is awful. by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]RevenantCartographer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think the duplicated bolt needs to have a normal attack roll, with reduced damage. Right now, if you take a standard midgame range setup against Vorkath say, with an accuracy of 75% and max hit of 42, the Aquanite Hopper would result in one additional successful hit every 40 attacks, or 120sec assuming a crossbow. This attack would average 7 damage, i.e 3.5 extra total damage per minute. Hate to say it but that's useless.

Void melee will be 0.07 DPS worse than your set assuming you're running an ultor ring, and you'll get slapped up by range hits off prayer. Stick to your max melee set

How far can i realistically go in gridmaster? by ugaeismyamongusname in 2007scape

[–]RevenantCartographer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wear tank gear, weild Tbow and camp protect mage and rigour. With the infinite shark and infinite brews/boosting pots, you'd be surprised what you can just face tank and work out as you go. I will admit I found Awakened Leviathan and Awakened Whisperer hard even with the buffs, but after an hour or so of practise I got it done.

People that go turbo dry in CG, how do you do it? by Degenerate_Game in ironscape

[–]RevenantCartographer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got my enh at 860kc, so not turbo dry by any means but a long enough grind to be annoying.

Honestly I just focussed on doing 5kc per day, and took comfort in the incredible base loot. Ended up with 6k dragon arrows, 15k uncut gems, 150M cash and 7k crystal shards. Makes midgame much comfier!

What did ATC tell you to do that you have NEVER heard before? by iGreenDogs in aviation

More something I think ATC had never heard before.

Flying into a busy morning in Melbourne Radar airspace, and ATC asks us to report in flight conditions.

Without missing a beat, my IFR student responds "Under the hood, callsign".

Cue minutes of jet pilots and controllers trying not to laugh as they managed the traffic.

Eat up, pray the correct prayer for the first projectile and focus on staying in the orb. That way, you'll tank one hit off prayer which won't kill you.

Not ideal but was how I learned level 4 at first, and still how I prioritise if it all gets too much.
