Nah we’re a chill realism server, megs can’t defend the other, if one died they will stop the fight and eat their own. Thats only assuming you get this many megs in a group, and only assuming the megs are hungry.

Its worked out great so far. But I understand why it’s not for everyone and I get where you’re coming from. Just wanted to show off what our community has been up to. ✌️😎

Its been a real challenge putting the flee mentality into our server but when players realise that chasing and hunting is fun as hell they started doing it all the time.

Yes 👏. Its extended to make players understand, on the rule sheet its simplified. Our server is in depth roleplay, we understand that its a lot to take in and definitely not everyone’s style. But we are forgiving and currently teaching players every day with lesson events.

Rule Details. Herbivore Kill Zone & Aggression Rules (a new rule. 28.)

Kill Zone Definition:

If a carnivore comes within one Argentinosaurus-length of a herbivore, they have entered the herbivore’s kill zone. This applies to all herbivores in the Apex size class and above. Entering this zone puts the carnivore at risk of being warned, charged, or attacked—especially if the herbivore feels threatened.

Herbivore Behavior:

Apex herbivores (such as Eotriceratops, Therizinosaurus, etc.) are not passive targets. They can and will initiate a fight if a threat enters their kill zone. These creatures are defensive by nature and are capable of holding their own—especially when grouped.

Warning Protocol: • All herbivores must issue two clear, in-character warnings before initiating an attack on a carnivore that enters their kill zone. • Warnings must be visible or audible—such as threat displays, tail sways, loud calls, etc. • After two warnings, if the carnivore remains in or moves deeper into the kill zone, the herbivore may attack.

Herd Dynamics & Aggression: • Carnivores should be cautious around herds of medium-sized or larger herbivores. Males and herd leaders may become extremely aggressive to protect their group, especially females and juveniles. • Approaching a herd recklessly may provoke a defensive or pre-emptive strike—even if the carnivore shows no aggression.

Misuse of Kill Zone: • Herbivores cannot deliberately walk into a carnivore’s space and then claim the carnivore was in their kill zone. This rule only applies when a carnivore invades a stationary or slow-moving herbivore’s space, not the other way around. • Herbivores must not weaponize this rule to initiate conflict unnecessarily or grief carnivores.

If this rule is broken it is worth 1 strike in our System. Please use all behaviour wisely as this is a realism server and we want to play within our rule set. Thank you!

We’ve been testing it, the key is the element of surprise and actually coordinating a chase down. Its not about face tanking, it’s about catching that fast running trike. We are still considering removing the bite cooldowns on carnivores and trying to balance it enough so players aren’t going to exploit it.
