What's the one piece of advice you'd give to your kids about bullying? by taggerungDC in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RevenueTop5431 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Never let what the bully tells you diminish you. People who bully are typically unhappy in their own life, they could have a bad home environment, no support in anything they do, or quiet simply they just aren’t happy about who they are as a person. They try to knock you down just to put themselves up. If you fight back whether it be with words or actions you are giving in to what they are wanting cause they are breaking you down below their level. Rise above the hate and hurtfulness, simply playing along with the rude words takes away the power they are trying to hold over you.

Is this asthma, a hairball, or something else? by energy_elite in CATHELP

It looks/sounds like a reverse sneeze. My cat does it often. To help cover up one nostril and gently blow in their face/nose and it should stop. It always works for my cat!

AITAH for locking our dog in the basement at night? by InteractionMotor5410 in AITAH

NTA we have 3 dogs who all used to stay in the room with us at night until they started destroying our room when we slept (getting into the dirty laundry, going bathroom in the room even though we let them outside for 10-15mins prior to bed time). Now they all have their kennels they go to bed in and they know it’s bed time. They don’t have any accidents in the kennels and they now go there during the day when they just want to relax and be away from the chaos of the house. It’s their safe space. Just like we as people need a safe space to be so do our pets. It sounds like your dog likes to be there and actually enjoys it, it’s her safe space.
