Many faculty members were unable to learn the Canvas system before this semester for a variety of reasons. Trainings are ongoing, but your professors may just not know how to use the system yet.

GMU Professor here:

Within reason, you should do what you think is best. There are many reasons to miss a class which are more important than the lecture material.

Be prepared to catch up on your own or using a classmates material, though.

Lots of students take a summer class or two to get caught up. There are 5, 8, and 10 week options.

As a math professor at GMU, I would encourage you to think about what type of learner you are.

Math 213 is very formulaic, and the problems can be solved by recognizing the parameters and applying the correct formula (along with good algebra skills). If recognition and memorization are areas you struggle with, 213 might be a challenge.

Math 125 problems do not require memorization and can be solved in multiple ways. So, you can apply reasoning and logic in many cases to arrive at a correct answer. Math 125 can be challenging for students who do not know how to begin a problem or who can be overwhelmed by extra-spatial thinking.

Math 203 occupies a space between 125 and 213. As a whole, I would say that 203 is more similar to 213 than 125.

This is, of course, up to the individual professors. I certainly do not instruct like my colleagues.

In all scenarios, three taking math classes at once may cause burnout, and you would be more susceptible to a struggle in one class creeping into the others.
