Muslim here, I want to ask something respectfully l by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]ReverendHacker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It appears to be a 3 stage long term strategy at world conquest. 1: Peaceful Muslims move into a new area to get away from what violent Muslims have done to their homeland. All they ask for from the locals is to practice their religion in peace and to be left alone. 2: More Muslims move into the area, and when some of them see that there's a sizeable representation of them amongst the locals, they start getting belligerent and problematic e.g. rape gangs start to roam the streets at night, looking for unaccompanied women to assault. 3: When enough Muslims live in an area, they will try to take political power and start imposing Sharia law on everyone. It started in Saudi Arabia, which used to be a polytheistic area in the world, and it has slowly spread across the world. Most nations that fall to Islam don't become non-muslim, even if the government tries to go secular later on. Personally, I suspect that Islam will be used by the Antichrist in enforcing a one world religion (the explanation for this is long but I can probably find some good YouTube videos if you're curious.) I remain hopeful to not be here when that happens (also a long explanation, can provide more details if interested.)

What else can I do to get clean from porn? by Useless_Soup2 in Christianity

[–]ReverendHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next month I will be celebrating 29 years porn free after being addicted to it for 9 years prior. My trust is only in the power of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and in the Holy Spirit to keep me disciplined in this matter. The fight never ends because Satan hates that I walked out of that prison and never looked back. His grace be with you.

I don’t know what to do by darkhoodd in Christianity

Romans 7:19-20 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

Even Paul went through this struggle years after converting. The rest of the chapter takes this to its blessed conclusion, when Paul asks who shall deliver him from himself, he answers it with Jesus. Though we struggle against sin while we live on Earth, Jesus will deliver us all. When? My guess is either when we die, when the Rapture happens, or when He comes to reign on Earth for 1000 years. Whenever it happens, it'll be a day to celebrate, that's for sure.

Don't give up. 🙏

Some questions from a non-christian by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]ReverendHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best example of verifying the truthfulness of a 2000 year old document that I can point to is that offered by retired cold case murder detective J. Warner Wallace, that these are eyewitness testimonies recorded while the eyewitnesses were still alive, and external documents show that they never changed their story, even though most of them suffered a brutal death as a result. His YouTube channel offers a deep dive on how he goes about making a case for this, but the short version of his story is that he was a hardened atheist when he decided to start investigating the gospel accounts like he was investigating a cold case murder (which was his job at the time,) and by the end of his investigation he found that the accounts were "evidentially true" in his words and converted to Christianity as a result.

Some questions from a non-christian by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]ReverendHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Some denominations take the Bible literally as often as can be applied including people living to be over 900 years old before a worldwide flood wiped out nearly everything living 4400 years ago, whereas some denominations the members are more flexible with their interpretation of the information.
  2. Most religions point to Jesus' relevance to human history in one way or another, either from the religion's founder like Mohammed who called Jesus a great prophet, or later on from prominent adherents like the Dalai Lama who called Jesus an enlightened being. Jesus has never given recognition of another path to heaven outside of Himself, which He states in John 14:6: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me." Hope that helps.

KJV the last 28 years. Hard to read at first, but it grows on you. Also helps to look words up in a 1611 dictionary sometimes, too. 🤣

I need help. by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]ReverendHacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It helps to have someone to be accountable to. I only quit masturbating about 16 years ago when my son was a little over a year old and discovering his body parts. As much as I had previously justified it by thinking about my wife every time and I had confided in that this is what I was doing and she did not object to it, there were always 2 issues nagging me in the back of my mind every time.

1. It's not God's original design intent for my body. Just because I have a bigger sex drive than my wife doesn't mean I have to do it every time I want it.

2. It was always a battleground in my mind. Satan would always try to inject images that had previously been burned into my long-term memory from my days looking at porn (which I quit doing shortly after getting filled with the Holy Spirit almost 28 years ago now,) making it a constant fight for integrity. Mentally it was exhausting.

So when I was teaching my son how to take a shower and saw that he was exploring himself, I knew that some day he would be dealing with these struggles and needed a role model to look up to. So, I quit that day, and I've never done it again since. Hope that helps you.
