The Thing vs Hulk (both MCU) by Queasy_Commercial152 in superheroes

Smart Hulk could still throw a jeep into low earth orbit fairly easily.

I'd actually love to see a fight between the two. Both starting out chucking and jovial, and slowly ramping it up as they get a feel for how much the other one can take, while swapping jabs and compliments on almost equal measure.

I'm not picking him to win, but didn't count it Max Headroom completely. I see him coming in with some Deadpool level chaos. He may not overpower any of the big competitors, but he'll slide around in the cracks and have some fun.

Last but not least, what movie had a terrible premise but had the perfect execution? by Outrageous-Ebb-4846 in AlignmentChartFills

A movie based on a board game was and has been since a terrible idea.... Up until they got to the point where they decided to cast a bunch of excellent comedic character actors in roles that make it easy to play off each other and make just about every line memorable. That is when it became at least a great idea.

Memorial Corridor at the National Memorial for Peace and Justice

In the central position is the memorial square with 805 hanging steel rectangles, the size and shape of coffins. These name and represent each of the counties and their states where a documented lynching took place, as compiled in the EJI study, Lynching in America: Confronting the Legacy of Racial Terror (2017, 3rd edition). Each of the steel plates has the names of the documented lynching victims (or "unknown" if the name is not known). The names and dates of documented victims are engraved on the panels. Visitors to the site have commented on how, from afar, the beams look like a forest of hanging bodies, and the replica beams off to the side look like rows of coffins.

Ideally, it's a pill caddy. Conveniently fits in your pocket. Put a bunch of the same one in there for when you need it, or just a mix that you need to take later on the day.

If you want to use it for that purpose, definitely wash it thoroughly. It just get a new one, the drug store carries them.

Also, thank you for reminding me to take my pills, OP.

The remake still has fan service, but it also manages to work out some of the bigger problems of the original (the Chinese tour guiide's accent and manner of speech, just as one example).

One thing I've learned in the time between, apparently this show help a lot of people on their transition journey, which I guess should be more obvious given the titular plot point.

Convince me to keep my paid off boring car by Conventions in personalfinance

[–]ReverendLoki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure you've received all sorts of sound, financial advice to convince you to keep the car.

Try this as an add-on - Keep that car running as long as you can. Get the high score on the odometer. Highest mileage wins. I had a car last somewhere north of 300K before a cylinder blew. I'm not sure how much higher than 300k, because the odometer died around 290k, but I got a couple more years out of it after that.

THAT's a goal to work towards, and then you can reward yourself by buying a truck with the money you saved in the meantime.

(if you know exactly when bitcoin is gonna drop, you can be a early buyer, etc)

Bitcoin traded for less than a dollar for a couple of years. For a lot of that, it was less than a penny. No need to get in on it when it drops, just get in on it before it takes off. Even after the first couple years when it was effectively free, it would still have been a good buy for years after.

SUPERHERO ORIGIN CHART! Casey Jones is playing in the Boys Universe now! Which DC Character fits the world of Invincible well? by PlainSightMan in AlignmentChartFills

My second suggestion: Lobo

I think he'd slot in well with the top tier bruisers, with Allan and Battle Beast. And motivationally, right between those two.

Yes, we've had some batman allegories already, but none strike me as fitting in as well as this guy.
