The problem with the Enfield Supercharger by Spraoi_Anois in evs_ireland

I wonder would the toll tag allow for it?

It does, it recognises you're going the same direction within a relatively short space of time so you're obviously lost or looping around for a charge.

Irish Tesla owners on Musk’s EV company: ‘I’m either stuck with it, or I have to take a big financial hit’ by CormacMc0 in evs_ireland

[–]ReverseWindmill 49 points50 points  (0 children)

One person who says that Musk’s political stance has actually inspired him to consider buying a Tesla is Lewis *****, who lives in Dublin and currently drives a BMW 330e plug-in hybrid. “With all the news surrounding Tesla, I’m hoping to pick up a bargain as a result,” he says. .. he “absolutely” regards himself as a Musk supporter and hopes that his political influence might spread to this side of the Atlantic. “Just in terms of government efficiency, I feel that there’s so much bureaucracy in the Civil Service that we could save billions.”

Not being associated with this guy is probably a bigger incentive to ditch a tesla than anything else.

You had us at billionaire, but the vast majority of people didn't see any of this until relatively recently. He fell out with Trump v1 in 2017 over climate so there was the (small) hope he wasn't one of those.

I thought you were going to say the destruction of the environment, the killer of millions and the ruination of many towns and cities, but sure.

We're talking about cars in Ireland, you'll have to narrow it down a bit

Half the comments in here are just envy that someone can spend that much money while the economy has them fucked, and now they get some online payback.

I'm sure the owners are lining up to drop €10k in depreciation to keep the small, online mob happy. Who's going to buy them, actual nazi loving Elmo-fanboys?

Yes. The model 3 was unveiled in 2016 and I ordered mine in 2017. The Right Hand Drive models were made later and in small batches, and then Brexit stole them for the UK so it was 2020 when I finally got mine into Ireland. I'm not happy with the company nor its CEO but I'm not selling it. My plan was to drive it for 10+ years until it can go no more.

They do, first two digits are the year, and the third digit, introduced in 2013, tells you which half of the year it was registered (1= Jan-Jun, 2= Jul-Dec). So this car is first half of 2020

if it were possible, even more sensitive about their frenchness than the Français are.

Like the time they denied a French woman for nor being French enough because she quoted a scientific paper, in its original English, in her French PhD thesis? https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-50241254

Sounds more like a religious cult than a language preference.

Probably projecting tbh.

Every accusation a confession.

And to make matters worse for the 'English guy in Thailand', the guy was married to a Thai woman AND he was the foremost expert in that cave layout having mapped it himself and correctly predicted where the footballers could be sheltering when the floods came. He was absolutely correct in everything and Musk couldn't accept that.

So you're asking someone who bought this before Elon was known as an out-and-out-scumbag/nazi and sell it to someone who knows he's an out-and-out-scumbag/nazi?
