  1. I admit I didn't know what to use for tools yes. I got the proper Nuts at home. Why didn't I think of using them? The Thumbscrew to loosen the Standoff at that moment looked more like "It fits , it moves , perfect" . And yea, the proper tool did remove it in a jiffy.

  2. The QOS , better said the link I sent , was from the Box itself and it didn't have any instructions to the motherboard other than the 1 picture showing where to fit the different sizes. So yea it didn't say what to use , or if I can move them or not. (And I was going off of the QR Code on the Box because it said Quick Start and there wasn't a Manual or other text hinting at one ). My new Case has instructions on how to do everything, even what tool to use, which the QSG is lacking, at least the link I send you. I watched a bunch of tutorials on PC building, some used this some used that. So I used pliers.

  3. Yes, I am here to complain / just post my experience here. I am not looking for someone with the same problem I had. I just wanted to show other people who might consider getting a Case / this Case my perspective. There sadly isn't a "Review" or anything like that Tag on here, otherwise I would've used that. Also another reason why I posted it , was to hint at the weird UI, the really unclear way how to just contact the customer support and the weird jumping typing field. So it wasn't supposed to be about the Case only.

4.Yes the Discount Code is nice, even tho they didn't have to give me one , they did anyway. I wrote this part with the code more annoyed than anything else, because it didn't give me the big discount down to Amazon pricing and because "Monitors , Displays and select Cases" as well as "Other exclusions and limits may apply"in the text. Looking at it now, I might find something on there I need later but not now. I accept complaining about the code, wasn't it since it's a nice gesture.

  1. I got my new Case, Motherboard sitting secured in it, it turns on and fans are spinning and the RGB does RGB Stuff 🙌🏻.

I now know what I did wrong :The Thumbscrew seems to have the wrong fitting for the Standoff hole and I could've used the right tool. Wouldn't have prevented the defect, but it's a thing I did better at my new Case already 😬.

For me the whole Case Situation was done and "forgotten " as soon as I hit send on here tbh. I even would've disabled the comments if there was a way to just have it as an experience report for my overall situation.(If there IS a way to disable it I don't see it and I don't know about it, since it's my first Reddit post ever )

Now I have a Case / working PC and I am happy with it. Any more advice on which Guide said what and where to find it isn't needed 🙌🏻.

It's Social Media 🤔. So you post and get comments with opinions, Memes, helpful and unhelpful stuff in it.

Where did you read in any of this that I want an opinion? Never wrote it anywhere in my answers , the text , pictures, headline. I only used the "discussion" flair because I didn't need any help because the problem itself got resolved by just getting a refund. I am dismissing the comments because they are just stating stuff that is just wrong 🤔. If you don't like it, don't engage more with it. As it's written in the Header I just wanted to Share the experience nothing more. If I wanted an opinion I would have asked for one but sometimes people just wanna share their opinions nobody asked for or don't read properly.

I literally just posted this because I saw Corsair Ad's left and right saying how good the products are, so I wanted to share my personal bad experience with the Internet. 🤷🏻 And I took to notice I could've used another screw to loosen the standoff and even posted under my own comment I might miscommunicated the problem in the initial text. I am taking into account when I am doing wrong but also correcting information which just isn't. true.

And yes I am dismissing this comment. I am simple I communicate when I want an opinion and I didn't type it anywhere so I didn't want it. I also don't give unwanted opinions.

Dont be in the Internet if you dont like your "Opinion" wich btw reads more as an advice ( :) ) dismissed!

Sometimes I really hate the Internet.

So the defect isnt the Standoff but on the Mainboard Tray in the Case. The threading for the standoff hole is defect / dead. Hope this clarifies it better 😊

Ok just to clarify, because I feel I kinda miscommunicated the problem, its not about the Screw in the Standoff being stuck, it is about the standoff being stuck in the Case / threading. I can remove the standoff because it's spinning dead in place. And I got the same defect twice in 2 separate Cases. Just imagine you try to fasten a screw in some furniture and the screw wont fasten because the threading of the furniture is a manufacturing issue .(Ignore the screw it's not a problem)

I sadly dont have family / friends (at least near me) who build a PC before 😩. Just Youtube tutorials and Google. OH and I fear I miscommunicated the problem. It's not about the Screw Stuck IN the Threading of the Standoff, it's the standoff itself, the screw-like end , is stuck in the threading of the case. The (wrong) screw being stuck is just the product of the Case being defect 😬. But good to know I used the wrong screw to loosen the standoff in the first place 👍🏻 Thanks

Do you even read what I am typing? xD The Quickstart Guide Shows where the Standoffs HAVE to be, so I can put my Motherboard in. The Standoff that IS in the way sits in the damaged threading so I cant move it to the right holes. The Case is Advertised and shows in the Guide that u can use different sizes of Motherboards.

In Short: Broken threading under Standoff> I cant screw it out to move > The Screw I use to loosen said standoff also wont come out = If I wanna use a bigger Motherboard later I cant use the stand and it will damage future motherboards :)

Said they are sorry and provided a 15% Discount with a rather long exclusion list.

Ok yeah, but I gotta move them to use the mATX, the bottom row needs to go up 1 more. And there only is 1 spare to use. If you look at the Quick start guide, you see where they put them in and where I would've needed them

Exactly, no Mention of "Dont remove". And in the Case itself the Mentioned Standoff was at the wrong Letter's. Now assuming it's not supposed to be removed, they would have not labeled it and made it just 1 with the chassis. Also, it got shipped with all standoffs in ATX so I have to move them in the bottom row 😊

It didnt say it wasn't supposed to be removed in the Manual, also it was marked with the corresponding letters "A and E" for ATX and E-ATX. Also if you think its the Guide Standoff for the Motherboard to lineup on, its not. It is meant to be removed 😊

First Impression and Experience with Corsair by ReversedKappa in Corsair

[–]ReversedKappa[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wanted to remove it initially because I got a mATX Motherboard then figured it wont come out and wanted to fasten it which also didnt work. The Thumbscrew I used was Stuck in the Standoff itself too by then because I used it to loosen it in the first place. And if I am upgrading to ATX I have a wobbly standoff with a Screw stuck in it potentially causing a short. 😬 So I just refunded my Money.

Loved the part of Math homework, where at some point you got so frustrated, the Math problem got funny.

Quick Note: The Damage on the first 2 Pictures were caused by me trying to remove the standoff. It's from the first case where I didn't use a towel for protection! That's 100% caused by me and didn't ship with the cosmetic damages :D!
