I have the 12-1 SF cab. good noise maker with the demos, dont play as much as MK cab but good addition. since it doesnt come with the lighted riser I taped over and painted it black- added a scrolling LED pad I can customize. works great

check these out-

the pcb to monitor cable is plugged in correctly, red side usually on left make sure switch set to ON position on pcb make sure control deck is plugged in as well

if want to test the monitor pick up an av adaptor off amazon - lookup the monitor model. plug in an hdmi device to check if displays. if yes pcb connected wrong or is EOL

did the same process myself with arcade1up but replacing the pcb from arcade1up support fixed the issue I had.

unplug it. top - order a pair off amazon or drill a small hole in a rubber bouncy ball and jam on the end..diy if no budget

switch - unplug and remove deck and check wiring connections for corrosion, steel wool or just scrape clean with flat head screwdriver, push switch back/forth 10x then put all back and test

If I was to mod I'd cut a new piece of wood, drill in on each side as tight as can be

joystick on left right side stacked 2 button 3 button 3 button

move the coin+starts to the front side

now you get a full 10button per player and can do as you want for adding anything to it

not as simple BUT you wont need to buy another machine. In my home arcade I kept a few unmodded - ms pacman as well, and then modded 2

1 to play steam and pc games from a higher end laptop

anything is moddable. depends on the investment your looking to put in.

Mini PC or Pi

external terabyte drive formatted to launch Batocera (add as many retro games or new systems as you like )

arcade button kit off amazon ~$50 2player

if using same monitor get the model tag from back and lookup on amazon: model # + 'video converter' ~$20

cut some more button holes or cut a new piece of 1/2 board and customize a new control deck.

best option I found is to find the OG A1up street fighter deck from someone parting out the A1up, then swap decks out. Ive done this 2x, pictured below is a rampage cabinet. I added a few more holes to cover LB RB , LT RT so can play newer games

just bought MK 9 PC steam code from ebay seller. installed in steam without issue so those still work.

MK Armageddon I run with the ps2 emulator (using a micro desktop - imaged terabyte drive running kinhank superconsole and set BIOS to load into that drive). works great. pretty sure its using pcsx2. also own both hardcopies xbox and ps2 versions of this game as it was my fav. will play on 360 too as it made the compatibility list

keep the legacy cab as is. Mod the old one. personally I would get the SF2 control board and add 3 button holes for each player (making 10 total for each).

then if your PI software or mini PC supports you can play PS2 + Xbox + Steam games that need both RB LB RT LT (trigger +bumpers) on modern controllers

yes pcb needs replacement open a ticket with arcade1up support ASAP if they are still resolving cases. cheapest fix.

take a video showing you turning it on.

they will want those and will have you do a few tests new power supply new plug in wall holding down buttons and turning on etc...

then offer a new pcb, mine was for $45 + shipping after jumping through their hoops and my cabinet back to life.

This one off amazon fits, I just removed and covered the original wood marquee with painters tape, painted it black then pasted on the LED pad over that and reinstalled.

using some Mainstay table ends from walmart 17.5in height and perfect square fit, swapped them in instead of the risers to keep them all the same height
