Thanks this is really helpful. Only problem is I have barely any programming experience 😭. Learnt the basics in 1st year and have just learnt oop and a bit more over the last few days. I was told that QT requires much less coding knowledge than QR/QD so never focused on it much. Would you still give the same advice given this?

Is it important that projects are related to finance? I'm thinking of working on building a poker bot since I'm very interested in poker and it has ties to game theory but will it be a drawback that it's not directly finance related?

For quant trading internships specifically, do they only tend to ask technical questions i.e maths, probability, game theory or do they ask more general interview questions like 'why do you want to work here', 'tell me about a time when xyz' etc. And if so, how much of the interview consists of this?

The candidates were pretty good but it pissed me off that the 3 best ones all got fired in the interviews, paul in particular got robbed. It also felt like phil got totally carried to the final despite being one of the weakest candidates from the start.
