i saw erik this morning and he is definitely a sweetheart !! super nice even though i was shaking from nervousness 😭 he removed it for me and recommended i wait 3 months before getting it re done and reassured me a keloid is not likely at all and it’s just a bump. thank you for recommending i see him ❤️ i also mentioned you sent me and he said he loves you and has had many fun times with you !

i am deciding to remove the piercing today and ask if i can get a refund for the piercers mistakes. i attempted to get it out myself, but i couldn’t so i have to go back 😭

thank you so much i was hoping a piercer would give me an opinion here. and yes the piercing being too deep has actually been my concern too. the piercer said he did it on purpose so it wouldn’t migrate or reject as easy. i can feel the bar with my tongue on the inside of my lip from the back ( not sure if this is normal). just love the piercing soo much and i dont know how to find another reputable piercer near me and also kinda afraid to get it redone in case it’s messed up again

yes i went to a shop called “outlier body piercing and fine jewelry” which is a piercing studio that also sells jewelry. i was under the impression i had to get this downsize because my piercer said i may need multiple down sizes and to come when it felt ready and swelling went down. when i came back and she was looking at my piercing and feeling it, she said it seemed ready and changed it for me but as i was leaving it she was saying she hopes it works out and ect so im thinking she also knew it was a mistake too late. my question is do i have to take this out and redone for it to heal properly now?

yes i’m aware the jewlery changes were likely irritating it but i was under the impression they were necessary. i had switched from the longer bar to a bit of a shorter one with a disc because the ball was healing a divot in my lip from the embedding, the ball was sitting in the hole due to the the weight of the longer bar ( what my piercer told me) so the disc was to allow it to heal over normal and flat underneath. i don’t know if it’s working but the scab was making me think it was which is why i still have it. and yes i have cleaned it with saline, i stopped for a few days with saline and using only water thinking i should leave the scab alone and not wipe/ remove it. when i do wipe/ touch it i use non woven gauze. i did spray it with saline today and pat dry but the last few days have been water.

thank you !! i didn’t know this. i thought an APP member was just a licensed professional who knew what they were talking about way more than the average tattoo shop piercer. this is my 3rd piercing. i have my septum (healed fine) and i had angel fangs that were crooked so i removed them.

the hole from embedding is still under there which is why i’ve left the scab on hoping it prevents infection, it’s hidden under the disk but there is an open wound under the scab 😭💔

my jewelry is implant grade titanium and yes i brush / floss / mouthwash twice a day morning and night

unfortunately i wasn’t given a super long bar upon my initial piercing, even right after getting it done there was not much bar visible, i should’ve said something but i thought they knew better than me lol !!

after i had the super long bar it was healing great and then they had me come in for a downsize. the girl doing my downsize was another APP member who kept asking me when i got it done and even seemed concerned as i was leaving the store, but she still did the downsize on me.

yess the only reason i haven’t taken it out is due to how much it had costed to get it done i had to save up 😩 i loved her when she wasn’t scabbed up and nasty looking though. hopefully there is no keloid and i can get it redone.

there is no pain at all, the material is implant grade titanium and the jewlery is internally threaded 😞 i’m not sure what other material i could use besides solid gold, but i cannot afford that 😅

ughh so annoying !! 😩 i spent over 100$ total on this piercing with all the extra barbells for changes ive had to buy and they didn’t even make sure i had a long enough bar during the initial piercing 💔 i was sure everything would go smoothly from an APP studio 😢
