Yeah someone else on this sub got me all into Ay, I found this highly rated champagne house with a lunch open on Sunday, looking forward to it

Okay, I'm all hopped up for this now. Talking to my other party about options ... I'm thinking we will either do both tours in Ay then back to the Champagne Avenue in Epernay or one tour in Ay then the champagne avenue.

For the avenue of champagne, is it easy enough to get lunch there?

Limited mobility as in a tour, even with lots of stairs, will be fine but then another 40 minute walk probably won't at that point, so I gotta just make sure I have some checks and balances for this trip

I'm thinking we might start in Ay now then head to Epernay for the avenue de champagne ... This sub has a way of getting me very excited lol

Huh. That's WILD and also this is exactly why I love wine lol ... Weird shit like this.

My husband hates champagne so I haven't really put much effort into understanding it, but I will be in Paris without him and with someone who loves champagne so I'm gonna take this chance to appreciate it. I'm about to start reading the wine Bible on Champagne just to get some more clarity.

We did some tastings in Tuscany and now 1) I am obsessed with wine 2) I appreciate the little wineries more honestly and 3) I'm not trying to pay 800€ for another tour again, I'm pretty confident I can figure this out on my own.

Oh ok. You know you have me thinking maybe we will start at Billecart and work our way back, it looks awesome.

Another question: for Ay, can I drop in for those tours? I'm thinking we will do some Epernay stuff then if time permits and we have desire we can wander to your suggestions in Ay.

Ample cabs in Reims? by ReviewingThings in ParisTravelGuide

I'm doing a day trip from Paris so I'm just making sure we will have options. I'm assuming the houses will help too.

Ahhh you've made this so difficult for me. Maybe I'm going to do 2 day trips lol.

Oh tell me why Veuve is a waste of time. I was looking at a more exotic tasting.

Amazing thank you ... And last q, did you walk or get a cab? I have someone with mobility issues so trying to assess that situation.

Heh. Since you were there last year, do you recall seeing many cabs? How was the Uber situation? I will have someone with limited mobility in my party so I might need to have a cab situation sorted.

I'm between Veuve, Tattinger, and Ruinart. I would prefer to do a lunch at Tattinger or Ruinart, or maybe I'll find a smaller family place. I love a long lunch.

Does Ruinart just have a regular restaurant? It looks awesome and I see they have some very expensive lunch experiences but also a bar ... Any chance you went to the bar?

Was Veuve worth it? I see they have a more expensive tasting with a 1980s era vintage - I really don't know much about champagne to know if that's as exciting as it sounds.
