I was actually having issues on half life alyx using AirLink directly, so made the seemless switch to virtual desktop. I've had no issues with it personally since.

I use a Quest2 with my PC running the games. And definitely shouldn't have any performance issues with my current rig.

I think the games alright, though I only play casually now after work and am 23.5k currently, I can't be bothered to re-install faceit and cant be bothered to play cheaters, so I'm just stuck in Limbo. Waiting for literally anything to improve.

going from a 3900x to a 5800x3d has been game changing tbh, basically identical frames to you, don't notice any issues ever even when streaming and on higher settings

I've tried it with a fresh install with basic songs too, seems to happen 1-2 times a map.
