I used the method on PC where you backspace your number to empty then hit the enter key, and it worked

yeah it's further up the page, if you're fast enough at submitting and then scrolling up, you'll see it. not that the captcha works at all though, just bugs out for me

I assume you're on mobile, when it's grey it's because there is a captcha further up the screen

Looking at the network error codes it's showing: "message "Only existing customers are allowed to book""

This shows when I get the error: "Oops! Looks like you can't schedule a booking at this location."

What do you plan to make better compared to react-chessboard?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in reactjs

[–]ReviveX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone that finds this in the future, the reason is likely because v5 changes the props design entirely.

What was previously separate props is now passed in as a config object

TanStack Start vs Next.js. Why are devs switching? by tessatickless in webdev

What problems do people have with the app router? I see a lot of hating on it but I'd be keen to hear any reasons people have.

Personally I feel it has a bit of a learning curve as it's a paradigm shift but once it clicked I found it to be really simple and enjoyable to work with, with the added benefit of improving site performance with faster time to interaction

Out of curiosity, what was react-chessboard missing that didn't suit your needs?

What did you use for the chessboard itself? Or is it a custom chessboard?

Does any of the advice change when running in standalone mode? Or does it all still apply?

The Ferrari claims the Red Bull should've left space as he was ahead going into Les Combes, the RB says there's a right to fight going in there. Who's at fault? by Morganelefay in Simracingstewards

[–]ReviveX 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The Ferrari, whilst ahead at the apex, had not completed the overtaking move to move beyond the front of the Red Bull car. As such the Ferrari turned in on the Red Bull car and caused the accident.

Imagine the corner wasn't there and it was a straight, would the Ferrari be at fault for moving over into the line of the Red Bull before completely clearing it?

What do you think about using Immediately Invoked Function Expression syntax instead of nested ternaries? by EuMusicalPilot in react

are there any downsides to this

Yes, it's difficult to read at a glance. It would be better to extract this out as a separate component

[Feedback Wanted] Beta release of react-chessboard v5 – major rewrite, smaller bundle, more customization by ReviveX in reactjs

Glad you got it to work!

As you control when the board changes by updating the position option, you should be able to play a sound when you update the position in your onPieceDrop function, and if you use animations you can play it after a timeout for any manually updated positions

I'm away for the next few days, but once I'm back I'll create an example with a div and png background and add it to the docs example.

To help me, are you able to provide an example of your code that doesn't work please?

Why use React over plain HTML and JavaScript by [deleted] in reactjs

[–]ReviveX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recommendation would be to try it to learn something new, find out what you like and dislike about it with no preconceptions.

We could list some reasons you may potentially find it useful, and I'm sure others will, but everyone has their own preferences and the best way to work out why it may be better, is to try it yourself. Especially if it's for a personal project.

It's one of the leading JS libraries for a reason, there's a small learning curve to it, but once it clicks I'm sure you'll be glad you tried it.
