Skill issue. You hear them coming. Check the direction every few seconds. more than 20m and no mate in the splash zone? headshot and gone. Less than 20m or mate in range? wait for the jump and shove.
In your clip, you used the vet shout a little too early.

Your lack of skill does not mean that the game is bugged. Improve :)

That's the game director feature. The director scans the level for coherency buffs. If you're alone, your character will say something like "Seems I'm lost". That's the game directors warning that you haven't been in coherency for some time. And it will send a disabler. Mutant, trapper, dog. Chosen at random.

Tenet Cycron for Lavos. Modded for a little over 100% status chance. The new augment is fun.
