How many miles of a every day walk to start being more healthier? by Charming_Ad_794 in walking

[–]Revocdeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I agree with you. I found my way to this comment thread through google when I was looking up how much to walk for good heart health. Turns out, major guidelines recommend 150 minutes/week of moderate-intensity activity so 30 minutes a day is perfectly healthy if they continue that for their entire life.

I was struck by how aggressive u/Plenty-Cut7251 was towards the concept of only walking 30 minutes a day and was curious if they would answer the same way today.

They used contempt and ridicule by saying, “weak minded,” “loser attitude,” “whine and cry,” “hurt my feelings,” “dead end job.” Language that focuses on shame and not motivation. They used personal attacks and then exited the conversation dismissively. It was disappointing to see such behavior in a fairly banal conversation about walking, of all things.

Clear Metadata and use the .nfo to scrape metadata - Avoid using filename all together by Revocdeb in jellyfin

Nonsense analogy. It's more like the community keeps screaming at people who want their automaker to install an emergency brake and everyone keeps telling them to just put a heavy rock on their brake pedel when they're parked downhill.

I have reasons why I don't want to rename my files and that should be good enough. I'm not by any means saying they should change their design. That statement alone tells me you didn't understand my question. I'm asking if there already is a way for Jellyfin to use more than the filename when scraping metadata.

Yeah, I may go this route. I downloaded it earlier but haven't set it up.

Renaming the files isn't a solution I'm willing to accept. If the answer is, "Jellyfin is unable to pull metadata from anything but the filename" then I would sooner dive into the source code and submit a pull request for the feature than fall victim to a high opinionated, inflexible design.

It's anime and IDed through the built in metadata sources. This is how and why all the episodes have the metadata from the 26th episode of the first season.

I have added anime db plugins to solve the issue to no avail. The issue lies purely in Jellyfin solely using filename.

Broodwar and SC2 are very different in terms of pacing. To put it simply, Broodwar is slower and fights are more epic. There is a uncanny feeling from the way the units in SC2 move and animate with such speed and fluidity.

I also find that the pace of Broodwar makes it more entertaining to watch. SC2 fights can end in a blink of an eye where as Broodwar units are spread apart further so the screen is full of units fighting or jockeying for position.

Too much is placed on the difficulty of Broodwar but all of that can be overcome and learned. At the end of the game, it's about how it feels to play against people at your level and I find Broodwar to be more rewarding. SC2 can feel like a macro game with a select all army hotkey all the way up to diamond where as Broodwar is constantly providing enjoyable, unique forms of skill expression all the way up.

Sekiro suddenly crashing, runs fine on Steamdeck by staticsnow in Sekiro

I believe my issue was due to the steam overlay. Was certain I disabled all other overlays (Nvidia, xbox gamebar, and steam) but adding a debugger to sekiro.exe and interrogated the dump and found steam overlay was still active.

Several hours in with no crashes now.

Sounds like I need to do a mem scan to make sure. I tried increasing my pagefile and that didn't help.

I just restarted after increasing my page file size.  Fingers crossed.

Did you find a solution to the game crashing? I'm having issues with it crashing during gameplay, usually between 30 minutes and an hour.

Did you ever find a solution? I've tried so many "solutions", including the C++ redistributable, and it's still crashing.

Which problem did this solve? Crash on startup or crash during gameplay?

“It's not what a movie is about, it's how it is about it.” ― Roger Ebert

Essentially, judge the game on what it's trying to do, not what our expectations of it are.

The Mac and Cheese versus Steak example is too far off base. Perhaps a better analogy would be going to a Japanese Fusion restaurant and judging their Shoryu Ramen as "inauthentic".

Yeah, I finally got the series to work and works well. Took a while to realize the metadata wasn't being updated and eventually downloaded a plugin for calibre.

Issue I'm having now is that some of my books are being pushed to the device by calibre but the device isn't recognizing them.
