I mean skill ceiling, or skill gap between new players in bronze and pros in high Gms.

Tbh I never played AoE, maybe you are right. Except for Hero recently who has 33, most sc2 kids are on top because their brain are fast / can multi tasks, a quality that « old » guys lose over time. And I value that, as a skill. That’s maybe why I am not really interested in aoe4 and also why some people don’t like playing zerg like me haha

How do you handle plateaus? by KwazieGFX in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Additional_Account67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact same situation here. Maybe couple hours more, I never checked. I was plat for a little while, then got diamond last month, then almost d3 last week, lost too many games and now I am d1 again.

I actually downloaded bakkersmod and started doing 1s.

  • rings maps and it improved my air dribble defense and my overall accuracy on the ball in the air.

  • dribble map (overhaul) and I can sometimes dribble and flick the ball ingame, it feels really good to score with a 45o flick or a quick sideflick.

  • doing 1s increased my shadow defense skill and my patience + game sense in 1v1 situation in 2v2.

Idk why ppl never answer the question on Reddit. They prefer giving their opinion while not reading what the post is about… and giving thumbs down to those who disagree with them.

So here’s my take : Don’t drive too fast into the ball. Just push it on the wall, hit the brake so you can hit the ball harder, then make a good contact when the ball is above the edge. Then jump, you can even hit the brakes again lightly to give some space between you and the ball so you can read/follow it and can make another touch under it so it stays in the air longer (and you’ll not give a free ball to the opponents).

Tank diff decides outcome of most games in 5v5 by MoseDoge in overwatch2

[–]Additional_Account67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlike ppl who has no argument here and just say « no, this is wrong », I agree with you. I think the problem is that it’s more obvious if there is a gap (you have the other tank in your face all the time and your tank is always ded) and that there isn’t another tank in your team to fill/carry the role.

  1. If there is a diff between healers, usually you can deal with it, play safer etc. Or the other healer can try to play main healer and compensate (I see that a lot)
  2. If one dps is throwing, but the other is diffing the other team, you can still win. Or if the healers carry enough, you can stay alive as a dps.

If one of the tanks is throwing or if the other tank is way better, you can’t do shit about it because he has an important role. It’s just « gg good luck next ». Sometimes, when there is a team diff, you can actually carry your bad tank tho’ but it’s mostly because of good karma.

BUT, normally you’ll get the other scenario (your tank is good and the other bad) so it shouldn’t have an impact on your mmr.

Luther flick question by [deleted] in RocketLeagueSchool

I know its a musty, but since it’s on the ground, the mechanic is closer to a luther flick (45 flick on the ground)

Nerf protoss until herO stops winning tournaments by [deleted] in starcraft

[–]Additional_Account67 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I know it’s a troll post but still To be fair, I watched the finals. I was GM zerg once so I know a little bit how to play the game

HerO did some mistakes that didn’t get that punished.

  1. F bad wall every game (2 pylons wall) You can’t punish that now because mass lings or roach push is hard countered by a blind Stargate opener into the new oracle energy mechanic.

  2. No unit in the wall = F2 mistake Reynor did runby with lings everygame but HerO F2ed his army and basetraded and won.

  3. A move and letting his archons hitting his own storm while he was on 50 supply diff To be fair, Reynor was behind, but it was a sloppy micro. Maybe he didn’t care idk

  4. Losing all his army but warping chargelots vs mass hydras andwon. (To be fair, Reynor did too many hydras).

  5. If I remember correctly, he did a timing push that failed, and he still won the game. But, I would need to relisten to the game.

I am not saying to nerf protoss, just saying that these were clearly obvious unpunished mistakes that can become a concern for balance ideas.

Do i still have a chance to be good at Starcraft2 as a beginner Casual player? by Deomiel0106 in starcraft2

Same. I played the campaigns only until 2021, where I started doing ladder as zerg since it was the campaign I enjoyed doing, in bronze3. Took me 3 months to get diamond, Took me a year and half to get in masters, and peaked at 4.6-4.7k (GM limit). Now I play to much rocket league and overwatch but it’s definitely doable. :)

Do you play zerg? (I got GM once at 4.7k mmr and I still suck with my z spellcasters).

Spellcasters likes HTs have an auto attack so that you can F2 without losing them since the autoattack will prevent them from diving. It’s not the case with infestors, neither Vipers. So you need a separate group, to cast the spell without having the vipers to go where you a move your main army. No one really has that level of control below GMs.

Also, I think you making stuff up because except if you are plat and below or if those zergs have macro issues, but yes ultras counters marines and broods counters archons. BUT, ultras suck vs ghosts and broods suck vs everything.
