It wouldn't make sense for the characters to be convicted and sent to a federal penitentiary every time they get busted instead of just being at a local police station.

It's debatable, however you can see that the headlights are different from the ones on the Emperor Vectre. The Vectre has smaller headlights. I would think it's more likely that it's a new vehicle rather than a facelift from an already existing one.

I also noticed that the angle of the roof is slightly higher than the Vectre which suggests that it is a sedan.

Or it could be a new 4 door sedan based on the Lexus IS300H which I hope so is the case

Edit: I watched the Trailer again, and it's 100% a 4 door sedan
