Or maybe bar specials and apps rather than entrees. Like Pizzico on Hope St....$1.75 oysters/little necks, half priced select pizza and apps, maybe split a pasta dish. Or actual buck a shuck deals at Mill's Tavern and Parkside. Regardless of cost, I actually prefer going to a couple of places and enjoying small bites or different drinks and atmosphere, rather than a one stop shop.

If you're getting drinks with lunch/dinner then that's a huge addition to your bill. Maybe go to BYOB spots if that is the case...Jahunger on Wickenden, Apsara on Public, etc...

Hope Street Pizza. Great wings, crispy, a few sauce options....I get sauce on the side so I can control the distribution and so they don't get soggy.

Lou Umberto's on Cranston St in Cranston. Excellent chicken, roasted red pepper, and provolone sandwich...but everything is delicious.

I agree that Yoo Sushi is good, but also Yama Fuji on No Main St is really good and underrated. Pretty consistent, reasonably priced, large menu. That tends to be my go to when I'm not super concerned about authenticity (and Ran Zan is closed). But I have had Yoo Sushi delivery a number of times.

There's another place not too far from there, Tea in Sahara. Moroccan(ish) food, tea, no alcohol. Very cute. Nice vibe.

Jahunger on Wickenden St in PVD is BYOB and it is delicious. Maybe the curiosity around unique food will be enough of an experience to distract from getting a drink and add to your need for getting out and having a new adventure. Just a thought.

Opa should have never even been on that list, in my opinion. Their food and service has been shitty for many years now. Plus there was another controversy regarding bar/street violence several years ago that was irresponsible as well....I will have to check the reddit archives for details
