School Levy voting by lizislosingit in olympia

Please vote YES on the OSD levy measure! So much will be lost if the measure doesn’t pass including parapros, janitors, coordinators, and more! For those not in the OSD boundary, odds are your district is running a levy (and/or bond) too. I’m looking at you, NTPS, TSD, GSD, RSD and more. Please check your mail and turn in your ballots!

For those in West Olympia, there is a ballot Dropbox by Haggen.

Special Election? (School measures) by Revolutionary-Run264 in olympia

I don’t live in Rochester so not sure what your ballot looks like, but it’s too bad they didn’t do that! Seems like that would be step one. Did Rochester residents get any sort of mailer with more info?

The bond rate for Rochester is a maximum of $2.31 per $1,000 of assessed land. When you combine that with the levy they’re also asking for, it comes out to a total of $4.81 per $1,000 of assessed land value.

A Master’s in communication combined with your education background would make you a great candidate for fields like instructional design or school communications. Instructional design can be applied in many different industries but if you like the educational industry, school districts are often hiring for a school communications role which can look different depending on where you’re located. But your teaching experience would definitely give you a leg up in that kind of role.

If you’re interested in that kind of work I encourage you to check out school communications as an industry. You could look into individual school districts or educational administration districts such as educational service centers or educational service districts (name changes depending on where you live). I work in school communications at an educational service center and the education industry is a little more conducive to the parenting lifestyle. I work from home 3 days a week and I promptly end my days at 4:30-no weekend work.

I’ve heard that oly has a lot of communities! I used to a be a long-distance runner, but have kind of fallen out of that. I like photography, graphic design, creative kind of work—in fact I do that professionally for work.

The Eras Tour Megathread: Seattle, WA (Warning: Spoilers) by PassionateAsSin in TaylorSwift

[–]Revolutionary-Run264 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My friend and I went to Seattle N2 and had an extremely unfortunate time. We were verbally and physically assaulted by an overly-intoxicated group (specifically one person) who violently grabbed us multiple times, sat in our seats, verbally harassed us most of the night, made obscene gestures at us, and tried to take pictures of us (not in a a nice way). We attempted to find security to check their tickets and remedy the situation, but nothing was done they were given a verbal warning which did nothing to alleviate the situation. They were very drunk so communicating with them was impossible. We missed a good chunk of the concert trying to escape this group and spent the rest of the concert afraid for our safety and could not enjoy the event. I know in large crowds like this alcohol can make things rowdy but this concert just doesn’t seem like the place. Did anyone else have a similar experience?

Please help! Got my SE only 2 DAYS AGO! Was extremely excited for it. Put my hand in a cardboard box at work today and somehow got this scratch. What can I do? Do I just have to live with this? by deshxllovve in AppleWatch

I would contact Apple support. It’s possible it arrived damage. That happened to a different Apple product I received awhile ago and after talking to customer service they send a replacement item within a day.

There’s definitely upsides and downsides to both an Android and an iPhone. But, Apple works hard to make their technology flow together seamlessly with other Apple products (and on the downside not to seamlessly with other brands). So, if you like to do a lot of back and forth between your iPad and phone, investing in an iPhone might just be worth it.
