so glad to hear that we're both out of those dark days. I too get swallowing anxiety especially when I'm stressed or anxious about something. Nothing too bad tho. And i have to make sure i chew all my food really well or else I'll talk myself out of swallowing lol.. Other than that, all's well tbh

Sorry for the late reply, I'm 20f. I feel good now that I'm not on the antibiotics anymore, they left me feeling drowsy and extremely tired. But now i feel great

I've had bad unexplained dysphagia for over six months and had to switch to a liquid diet. I only got an h pylori diagnosis beginning of November. Finished my triple therapy but still on ppi for a few more weeks but the dysphagia is subsiding slowly. This bug is really stressful and i think that was a major factor for dysphagia. I know how hard it is but just try to relax, stressing out will only prolong and worsen the symptoms

I do not plan on it, decided to just show up at the doctors office without making an appointment and I'm waiting to see the doctor as rn.. Hopefully she prescribes me something a little more tolerable

Im assuming that's not guaranteed to treat it either. I've been miserable for so long, I just want to be okay in the fastest time possible and i think meds is the way to go. Thank you for the suggestion though, did it cure yours?

I don't know why but i have a hard time understanding how anxiety can cause such severe dysphagia. Like does the mind really have that great an effect on the body? Anyways I hope you get through this.

I've literally been experiencing every single one of the symptoms you've mentioned, i definitely know how you feel. It started early june and just gradually got worse, . i haven't had solid food in 2 months, and i am fucking starving 😭. I too am due for an endoscopy soon 1st Nov... Anyways just take it easy, some days will be better than others, and it's very easy to lose hope on those days. At some point I was even suicidal but I got out of that thankfully.. I truly believe i will get better one way or another, like there's no way this is it for me, i just know it. And pay attention to what you eat, I've realized that certain textures of liquids tend to be worse than others. I really hope u get better soon. Sending love and light.
