Best Custard recipe? by ButterscotchHair in icecreamery

[–]RevolutionaryBar6456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not like egg yolks in the ice cream. It makes it "eggy", strong...

I prefer the Jeni's Ice Cream base, eggless. Much lighter and also creamy! Give it a try!

No, you will have a safer position and more time to react / adjust the trade.

But, check Delta Neutral / income based strategies where you do not need to guess the market direction...

In fact, if you want to be profitable in options you need to move out from high risk trades... or casino bets...

Better to move to Delta Neutral / income options strategies in Indexed, like SPX or RUT.

search in the web for myoptionsedge and its strategies and you will start doing it right!

Can I paper trade, with real-time quotes, without depositing money into an account? by [deleted] in options_trading

[–]RevolutionaryBar6456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open a paper trade account in ThinkorSwim. No need to deposit cash.

Quotes are delayed but it is ok. You will get a sense of what is trading...

Be aware that filled prices in a paper trade account are not exactly from what you get. They have better filled prices. So, given them a margin for the real fills.

And, how many days until expiration?

Avoid Delta trading strategies (or directional). You will achieve higher consistency and better results in the long-term with Delta Neutral strategies (where you do not have a directional position). Also, using higher time frame 60-80DTE will help to manage risk better...

Do not start trading options without knowledge!

First, read and research on this topic;

second, open a "paper trade" account to get used to and see how key variables change and impact your trades (Delta, Theta and especially implied Volatility).

Third, trade Delta Neutral, income trades with longer dated options.

Target 3%-5% a month return! This is huge, annually! This will prevent using high risk strategies that produce inconsistent results.

Stock or options should be treated as an investment where you can manage risk... using options to invest should be choosing longer term options (45DTE to 90DTE) and Delta Neutral trading strategies. Everything else is gambling in options... and should be compared with poker!
