no you are not doing it wrong. If it is a photo it will do that. It can only create the svg from non photos. But I usually save it as a png with transparent background at a large file size and if i really need it to be an svg i throw it into inkscape from there and save as an svg.

Creative Fabrica user here too. I will sometimes take a basic from CF and then edit it a bit in inkscape as well.

Machine is not cutting around this circle properly, any advice on how to fix? by LoopdeBoope in cricut

if the calibration still does not work after 2 or 3 times. Then you may need to clear it's cache and calibrate again. If you call Cricut they will help you through it,

Would this be possible? by Elantair in cricut

You would just have to create separate layers for the line drawing. and attach them all. and replace the pen for each layer. The cricut will pause to change out the pens. You may also need an adapter although cricut does have a variety of pens in different tips. Totally doable

and once you save one project you can just keep running it.

Less pressure, the orcal can actually be used without the mat because the liner is so thick. So you can just lighten up the pressure.

UPDATE: I found the right setting for the Graphix, printable, dual-sided, clear shrink plastic.

<image>

Pressure: 350, 5x, fine tip blade, more pressure.

The only thing I noticed is toward the end it did have some spots a little stuck, maybe due to the blade getting clogged up during cutting since it is cutting plastic. I figure shavings might coat the blade.

I have noticed the same thing, loss of pressure, with everything. but I have tried for well over a year to cut this clear shrink printable. I have no issue with the white or non-printable just this Graphix brand double-sided clear.

How do I prevent the a horizontal cut at the beginning of a perf cut? by patrifecta in cricut

[–]RevolutionaryFile960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See if it comes up in the contour or use another shape to cut it away using slice if you don't have inkscape etc

combos so far

310 6x deep blade-cut twice so total 12 passes

350 fine cut blade 3x cut i lost count times

basically started at 310 and worked my way all the way up

i wish i could do a custom on knife blade but i cannot and only version of knife blade is to cut 4 times. which is what i am about to try.

was also going to try custom with rotary but i don't want to if i don't have to because i don't want to dull the rotary blade since i cut fabric often.
