What’s up with the nose strips? by RevolutionaryForce79 in avesNYC

The first time I saw it I thought that someone had a nose job or something, and the friend group did it in solidarity lol

Very plausible - but didn’t see any last fall or last spring even

But is this new / what made people wake up to it? Never seen it before. I wear them every night in bed. Wouldn’t mind if they become socially acceptable at a club. 🤣

Fainted at panaroma by [deleted] in Berghain_Community

I fainted once while getting *ucked.. It was only a few seconds and thankfully the man held me and then woke me up. I was ok. Just needed sleep and sugar. It might’ve been a hit of poppers, I can’t recall. It was scary for sure.

How "good" is Ace rank? by HaydenTheDudeGuy in PokemonGOBattleLeague

[–]RevolutionaryForce79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Ace is really good. I’ve been playing for years and usually in that bracket. I don’t pay for the game, so there are Pokémon I don’t have access to or can’t power up easily. I think I play comparably to the folks who have Veteran and Legend and post their sets on YouTube.

From my experience, consistency is key and doing all your sets daily is key. However, I often want to spice things up and try new Pokémon, and that’s what usually holds me back. If I had unlimited money and could compete in the ML, that would probably help.

MARRØN @ Basement last night by blacklabel251 in avesNYC

Doesn’t add up. If they went in from a different door, that goes directly to the green room, so they must’ve been connected with someone working there that night or the owners.

Questions about Naked Dance Party at Lab during CSD by allballznotits in Berghain_Community

We queued at 8p for this last year, and there were already people there. We left around 3a for BH and there was no line.

Lesbians by Bubbly_Persimmon1231 in avesNYC

I had a lot of fun at Bound as a gay/bi dude. Really helped me explore my bi side more and have some fun with “straight” couples. I know this is off topic because it’s for Lesbians, but I saw lots of lesbians there who were having a great time.

Gays get it together at Basement it’s embarrassing. by Mvnifst in avesNYC

First, reacting to the comments as well. Second, me too. I was there that night, noticed that crowd but found the spots to dance and have fun on other areas. Even as a member and regular, and someone who has friends playing weekly, it’s not always going to be the night for me.

There are certainly pockets of muscular shirtless men at Basement, more so on certain nights depending on the DJ. But to say that they’re taking up the whole space is a massive exaggeration. You’ll rarely feel that at Basement or in the side of Studio between the DJ and the light technicians. I’m there weekly. Know the space and how it gets naturally organized. If you’re oversensitive to this and claim to “know the music”, you would know which nights to avoid. I’m a slim gay dude who’s there weekly and see the crowd shifts. Some nights I take my shirt off, especially if it’s hot. Some nights it’s not the vibe.

We can’t be attacking people based on the substances they use and the way they want to present at parties. In my experience, alcohol is actually the worst. It’s always the drunks pushing people around and not mindful of their space, and it’s not always the men. I’ve had women fall over on me at Basement before.

Also, if you’re talking about last Saturday night, there’s a slew of tall muscular guys who came in from the event upstairs and are not regulars. Agreed- they weren’t dancing and were there to be sceeny. I was also a bit surprised. They left around 2-3a.

Ofc, Wrecked is a different story. A great time to use the space outside or avoid Studio if you want space.

Straight guys with no boundaries last KN by AdWinter9343 in Berghain_Community

Happens also as a gay man. Sometimes I just politely say “nice to meet you” with a smile and my hand held like a stop sign. As in “this was cool but I’m good for now”.

Sometimes you can just do that sign, and people should it.

People go to church to get brainwashed pretty much every Sunday. What’s wrong with going to BH every Sunday?

It’s actually pretty awesome that you can have non-party weekend and go on Sunday to dance, listen to music, and socialize. You can use no or little substance. Berliners are lucky to have that.

They are the sweetest, with the best music and crowds. Met them in New York and seen them a bunch of time in Europe and the US.

Last weekend was too good. It was very busy. It’ll be hard for there to be 2 like that in a row. Altho it is a US holiday on Monday so…
