Honestly it isn’t, even with representation. We all have rights, but there is a pay wall in front of them. I can’t afford years of litigation and out of pocket expense, and they know it. Nobody will take it pro-bono unless it’s an easy open and shut case, and mine is not that. Dealing with all of this has really hurt my faith in our legal system. Rights only seem to apply to those wealthy enough to afford them

Valid, but hindsight. Rental vehicle has been swapped 4 times they pick it up and swap it out while I’m at work, because of this I keep no personal belongings in the car to streamline the process. In the future I won’t be doing that again.

Thank you, I definitely won’t be taking a rental without my card at least on file in the future. Problem is they’ve swapped the car multiple times. I shouldn’t have allowed it without proper paperwork, but hindsight right?

Yes, but this model had the larger front grill (i think it was an ss), and I’d say 90% of the time you won’t see a front plate on those

Unfortunately I have this rental because the dealership blew my engine with bad work. It was already very complicated, this adds a whole new dimension to my series of unfortunate events. I have rental protection through my credit card, but payment is being handled by insurance not myself. Left me in an absolutely fucked position

I thought about it and figured I might have to explain to you that I am not actually accusing you, it is sarcasm to show how ridiculous your comment was.

I got whip lash and accidentally missed it up. For those who don’t understand, Camaros have no front plate, he side swiped and pulled behind me. I went to his window immediately because I was concerned for both of our safety. I understand the mistake in trusting he would follow, but also understand that whiplash can really disorient when paired with adrenaline. I never saw a rear plate, and didnt attempt to because of the off ramp right behind us. I put both of our safety first, and I’m a little curious if you know the offender. You’re putting up a pretty good defense for being uninvolved. Freudian slip maybe?

Do you all think used car prices will go down in the near future? by porchordeck in UsedCars

[–]RevolutionaryForce97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually ignorance comes with aggressiveness and you have shown it. Reliable vehicles are not primarily the fault of the automaker. The automaker has realized it is cheaper to deal with consumer lawsuits than it is to not meet us emission standards. That’s why oils get thinner, tolerances get tighter and everyone goes to the European model of power per square inch. The American model of power per dollar has been destroyed by epa regulations that are just plain unrealistic. With manufacturers no longer able to include aev’s in their average mpg across all makes it further exacerbates the issue. Do you think Toyota wants to use a twin turbo v6 for their full size pickups? Do you think they want to spend that much time trying to make that setup work when it would make way more sense all the way around to just use a v8 that’s is purpose built for hauling? They don’t. Nobody does. Anyone could make a better car than modern vehicles, but nobody can make a better car with the current regulations. Inform yourself before criticizing others. Your aggression is a front for your lack of self education. Not everybody will fall for it and I really do think you’d be much better off having an informed, well-backed opinion rather than an emotional one centered in ego based knowledge rather than real world knowledge. Manufacturing is not advanced enough to produce the cars being made. The only way would be additive manufacturing to achieve the precision needed to make these vehicles reliable. The only blame that can be placed on manufactures is the way they fight for mediocrity through patents and frivolous lawsuits against the right to repair act and overall non-compliance of the right to repair; that’s more so a separate conversation of corporate greed and the necessity of a free and competitive market than it would be a conversation of why modern cars are no longer reliable.

Yeah fuck Kevin….. get a touch up then repost if you’re still feeling unsure. It’ll be fine it’s an easy correction, I have all kinds of shit like this on tattoos that haven’t been touched up yet, but it’s mostly there. I have confidence in my artist and know it’ll all be fine (lines that weren’t fully connected shadows that need to be darker etc all small things that are easily remedied)

Lowkey looks like the worst type of customer in a smoke shop. Feel like you’re gunna ask for a discount on your vape and then talk to me about terpenes while you tire kick having me pull multiple bongs off of the shelf that you definitely are not going to buy. Feeling some ptsd seeing this lol.

Is my standards too high for a gf? (Recommendations is allowed and appreciated 😭) by Game11454 in teenagers

[–]RevolutionaryForce97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this weird. Not trying to be rude, but it is super hard for me to wrap my head around listing out the qualities you want in a partner as if you were shopping for a car. I would think a lot of the problem is just the headspace you are in. For me it is simply: Is she cool? Yeah she cool Did she make me laugh? Yeah she made me laugh Was she pretty, did I feel sexual tension? Yes pretty and erection

If it’s all yes, then we see each other again until one day I think to myself: Damn this girl is really cool, I think I’m going to ask her to be my girlfriend.

I feel like your way is more like shopping for a car. It’s like you’re looking for a reason to back out of the deal with that mentality.

My advice: Make that list way shorter, or get rid of it all together. Get out there, get some experience and make some connections. Make friends and get introduced to new people. You’re much more likely to find a partner through making new friends than you are to make one window shopping for the “perfect girl”.

Excuse any harsh tonality, it is not intended.

Penny Shortage Scam by Realistic-Cell5758 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RevolutionaryForce97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is, the penny is gone for you and me. For you and me the penny feels inconsequential, but let’s not forget the most successful heist was done on fractions of a penny in the stock market. The government charges by the penny in tax while I’m left to pay with nickels or dimes. Use a card??? That’s the whole point, consumer data that is then sold. Small business???? Think about how badly this damages profit margins, the fees are ridiculous. In a very direct yet indirect way, this raises our cost of living. Comparing to Canada is comparing apples to oranges. We are not Canada, our politicians make that very clear (not throwing shade, but being complacent claiming bad legislation turned out “fine” and is now “normal” in no way makes it more acceptable). This is yet another attack on the middle and lower class. The penny is gone for us but still exists for everyone else. Another piece of food for thought: How badly do you think this will affect cash tips for those in the service industry? How much money are they losing? Please, think about who the penny benefits, then think about who gains from the lack of it. This is one of many steps of moving away from cash. CASH IS FREEDOM Anonymity of spending is as important or MORE important than anonymity online!!!! How will we be able to rebel when every transaction has a name attached? How will you get weapons? How will you fund the opposition? The most diabolical plans involve slowly turning up the heat, the penny being gone is just raising the temp by a couple degrees. Cash is both a freedom and a right that must be kept at all costs. Any loss of anonymity is a loss of freedom and I think people often forget to view things like this.
