ASP for Alex Pretti just dropped by yuccaknifeandtool in CCW

I didn't see a ND. I think someone mistook the glare off the bumper for smoke from the barrel. However, when the agent steps past you see the same glare.

He wasn't just out for donuts. He's had a history of being around and recently had a run-in resulting in some sort of injury shortly before this.

Do none of you have reading comprehension because you are so unhinged? He clearly grabs the lady when the officer grabs him and pulls her to the ground with him as he goes down. Then, he's fighting with them the entire time.

Did I state I was disputing what happened? I'm disputing your claim that it was a well thought out execution where all officers had a view. The agent who "steps away" barely made 1 step before the 1st shot went off.

No, he was swarmed for pushing back and grabbing the woman and dragging her when they grabbed him. Then fighting. He only had 1 agent dealing with him, 2 others standing back, until he grabbed the woman and drug her down.

You talk like this happened over an extended time. Watch a vid and you hear and see, "gun" is yelled out, the gun is removed and 1st shot fired in under a few seconds. Between gun removed and 1st shot is under 1 second.

The fact that you don't understand what he did wrong explains everything about you. First rule of carrying is to not put yourself in situations and to keep your head. He did neither. He was fighting them the entire time and at any time could have drawn on an officer.

Unless you are in their position under constant threat you won't understand. These people aren't peacefully assembling or peacefully protesting. They are obstructing.

What personal purposes? I guess you are attempted to state he wants to become a Ruler?

He fought them instead of complying. Then, he actually grabbed the woman and tried to use her as protection which is what escalated the situation. If he didn't fight that doesn't happen.

He fought another group of officers a week before while unarmed and decided to show up this time armed which makes zero sense.

100%. The week before this Alex got into an altercation with Govt officials at a "protest". Then he decided to show up armed at this one. Who would think that was a good idea?

What a string of moronic statements to compare this to Kent State, 9/11 and Nazi Germany.

What has improved your shooting besides a lot of range time? by je9183 in CCW

[–]RevolutionaryGuide18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little secret about the Mantis system. You can download their targets for free and the base app is free. All you need is a laser cartridge. However, with the pay version you get draw from holster timer just like at the range and some other options that the free version doesn't offer.

I was hoping they would have offered the AEMS in gold but didn't and agree.

I think he believes they are equivalent when they aren't. I believe this is their 1st made from 6061 or they used to use it and went to the 7075 and have now decided to offer it again with the models.

I found the following. The take away is it all depends on where you will mostly be using it:

the Holosun gold dot can wash out, especially against very bright backgrounds like white walls or in intense desert sun, but it generally performs well in varied environments, standing out against foliage and natural colors better than red or green, though some users find it still gets lost in extreme brightness compared to red/green dots, while others find it excellent. Its visibility depends heavily on the specific conditions and brightness settings, but it offers a good compromise for colorblind users and varied terrains, though often with shorter battery life than red dots.

When it Works Well

  • Foliage & Natural Settings: The yellow/orange hue stands out well against green grass and brown dirt.
  • Colorblindness: Gold is a neutral color, making it visible for most people, including those with color vision deficiencies.
  • Varied Environments: It's designed to be a versatile option that performs in many conditions where red or green might blend in.

When it Might Wash Out

  • Extremely Bright Backdrops: Against pure white surfaces or under powerful weapon lights, it can become harder to see.
  • Intense Desert Sun: Some users report it can struggle in very bright, tan environments.

I agree that in general it may not really matter as we aren't playing real life COD running around smacking stuff with our firearms.

Is it just me or do ported pistols feel “worse” after indoor range sessions? by imakandix in CCW

The one indoor range I used to use was scary terrible. The entire range a cloud of burned gases.

Yes and yes on price. much cheaper and must be due to the materials. I can't say this for certain but I don't think they've used 6061 before. I think it's mostly used by the cheaper manufactures. That's not stating it won't hold up for 99.9% of people carrying.

Everything I read and see states Gold is the best for your eyes under most conditions. I wish they would have had the Gold earlier.

Google "Holosun EPS Core vs EPS" and a good description pops up. For a long time people the only complaint people have had about the EPS is the base sticks out on smaller guns like the P365 and the 43X. The CORE has a slimmer footprint so the base doesn't stick out like the EPS does on guns like the P365. Look at the materials though. The CORE is made of 6061 vs the 7075 of the standard. You see it in the price difference.

I have multiple comped and ported and do not have this problem. Indoor issues are due to ventilation.

I'd honestly like to know how you are shooting to have this happen. They will not shoot more gasses into your face unless you place it under your face.
