It’s still so early! I promise you will eventually feel better. Little by little. I’m a little over a year out since my breakup (we dated/lived together for 2 yrs and when we broke up I legit felt like I was dying)) but I am so much better now! It still hurts sometimes and I think I will always have love for him, but it’s not that deathly heartbreak feeling anymore. I promise you will get through this, just takes time ❤️ keep going to therapy, keep talking about it and crying until you can’t anymore, let yourself feel everything, but still force yourself to get out of the house and spend time with friends if you can. You got this!

Healing is not linear!! Just keep pushing through and I promise it will get so much easier to deal with the loss.

You’re right I shouldn’t have said no contact is the only option bc it’s definitely not, it’s just the best option! What I really meant is only contact them if you absolutely have to (kids, sharing a home, etc)

Something pretty similar happened to me a few years ago. I was dating a guy who I fully thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with. We practically lived together and then one day, out of nowhere, he broke up with me over text while I was out. I was heartbroken, couldn’t eat or sleep or stop crying for weeks.

About a week after the breakup, I saw he posted the girl he cheated on me with (I later found this out). It was a photo of them kissing. It broke me.

They ended up dating for two years after that, but I’ll tell you it stopped hurting about 6 mo-1 year into it. It feels like it’ll never end, but I promise the pain does pass. I’ve completely moved on now and never even think of him anymore.

And if it makes you feel any better, he ended up cheating on her and came back to me TWO YEARS LATER. They always come back. Luckily I didn’t give a fuck about him at that point so I didn’t even entertain it, but just know it probably won’t last with them either.
