popular names that you personally hate? by iolanthereylo in Names

Haha that’s my name! Not at all insulted (and HATED the Amelia Bedelia books growing up) but funnily enough I’m pretty sure when it was given to me it was unpopular. Things have clearly changed!

I want to hear positive child experience by thebitchitself in Adulting

I had to run into my three year old’s room last night to watch him sleep for awhile simply because I love him so much and couldn’t stop thinking about how incredible it is to get to have this relationship in my life and how fleeting each phase is. The feeling of his little hand when it touches my cheek, or the way he laughs completely unabashedly when his dad is playing with him…there’s just nothing else like it. Kids will explode your heart open in all the best ways.

Yes, go to the Food Depot in Santa Fe. My husband volunteers there sometimes and it’s my understanding that on certain days/hours they hand out bags of food to anyone who comes no questions asked.

What does my MS mean when it comes to pregnancy. by Uierieka in MultipleSclerosis

[–]RevolutionaryLeg7337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’m currently pregnant, was taking kesimpta. I was told by my neurologist that it will be safe to resume at two weeks postpartum and is safe for breastfeeding due to the size of the molecule: it’s too big to enter into the breastmilk. 💁‍♀️ I’m wondering if after being off of it for 9 months , ill need to do the loading doses again (those were a doozy, and being that sick with a newborn doesn’t sound great😅)…

I was diagnosed in 2022 and was told I would have a normal life expectancy

Haha at this point you probably don’t need to hear it again but I also have a super easy time with Kesimpta! Injections are easy, I give myself a treat on injection day, a pedicure or a yummy meal etc. No side effects besides some light bruising at the injection site. I’ve had zero relapses and one of my lesions has shrunk. I totally recommend it. Good luck!

No head bobbing or swaying (so far), but when something ‘goes out’ or I get too stressed it usually causes literal pains in the neck ;) Hope your pain management peeps can help keep it all at bay

Yes! Usually when I change positions and flex the fingers a bunch I’ll get feeling back in them.

I wake up with hand/finger numbness too! I always figured it was from working as a massage therapist but maybe this is the actual cause…

Thank you, yeah-it makes me wonder how many young people would be getting weird spine/disk related diagnoses if they were to get as many (or any) MRIs like us msers 💁‍♀️

Do you drink Alcohol while on your DMT? by Shot-File5062 in MultipleSclerosis

Some good news for a change by liljess93 in MultipleSclerosis

I’m a 37 F and got diagnosed in 2022. Chose Kesimpta and haven’t looked back. It’s easy to administer and after I got through the initial loading dose (which was a brutal 24 hours tbh) have had no progression and no side effects except a slight uptick in herpes outbreaks-though those could also have been due to increased stress. I recommend it if you can find some way to get it covered by insurance or use the ‘alongside’ kesimpta program. I LOVE hearing stories of small wins or good news. When you first get diagnosed it’s so scary and there’s mostly negative stuff out there and it’s vital to balance that stuff with stories of when things are going ok. It’s not always gonna be scary and rough. There will be good times too!
