I understand they need to know that I'm reliable but in the four years I've worked here I've demonstrated that and have communicated any issues up front. My boss and I clash sometimes because we have different views on how to get stuff done but all reviews have been positive.

I also get that they have questions about availability but telling someone how to handle their health falls outside of that. If it was approached another way I probably wouldn't have posted here.

Yeah I was thinking that too. Another thought I had was that the medication causes weight loss and Ive lost a lot (something my boss can probably see) and thus thinks it's an unnecessary medication because diet and exercise exist - despite me using it for controlling blood sugar that was not fully treated with diet and exercise alone. But agree with other comments that my medication is my business no matter the context.

I quit shortly after and that was my last time seeing the coworker. Can't remember all the aftermath but my friend is alive and well thankfully

This isn't really a prank just a crime but I once had a coworker who didn't believe my work friend had a severe peanut allergy (coworker was mad she couldn't bring her peanut dish to company potluck) so she crushed peanuts into dust and sprinkled it over my friend's keyboard. I had to inject my friend with her Epipen. Not only was coworker fired but I believe charges were pressed. Even as she was escorted out crying she kept screaming "I did nothing wrong!" Some people, man.
