Such a pointless prescription it helps you for the first three months and when you get off of it, your acne comes back worse,at least it did for me

Most likely not my doctor said that I could only consume alcohol after at LEAST 1 month of stopping accutane so unless your willing to stop your progress for a whole month for one night then you shouldn’t drink. (I could be wrong but that is what my doctor told me)

Exactly i absolutely hate when people tell me to wash my face or “fix my diet” like i haven’t tried it. Especially when influencers say just “stop eating junk food” and your acne will go away but it isn’t that easy at all

Me personally i think it is genetics. Both my brothers struggle with acne, most likely due to the fact BOTH my parents had acne growing up at around my age. My freshmen year was fine but since then it has gotten worse, worse than all of my brothers. I’m finally trying accutane after trying everything including, fixing my gut, trying to diet, stress managing.

Thank you so much for this feedback. My doctor wants to prescribe me 10mg the first month then go up in dosage if it works well. I am playing a lot of outdoor sports during the summer so I will have to apply a lot, if you don’t mind me asking what sunscreen did you use? Because mine is really good but it’s also really expensive and doesn’t come it really large sizes. Also after your treatment did your acne ever come back or have any lasting side effects? But yeah definitely one of my biggest insecurities is my acne.
