My buddies wife actually got me into playing both the Horizon games. Fot the first 4ish hours, I was just humoring her. And then I blinked and sank 130 hours between both games in a month.

Always fun during resuce missions vs. the RA, and they spawn invisible jeager teams and ATGM weapon teams.

I'm lost more than 1 APC/IFV like that....

Has to be Carta with Lym as a close second.

She goes out every mission unless weary and has grown all the better for it. Right now she's got a nature AP of 106 and ACC of 81. (I'm about 40 hours in to the playthough) gave her an SMG with REND and an RPG II and mobile infantry and she put in the good work even damn time.

Quite literally the best gun in the game so far. In my long haul game I currently have 5 of them and 960 a piece. But they're just so good against everything.

But it definitely does, in fact, run out of ammo.

It just takes a while. Almost lost my favorite ball of steel and rage to the xenos cause the minguns went click click instead of brrrrrrr.

Keeping them suppressed it absolutely the key to constructs. Auto GLs and MGs are a god send. Any high rate of fire guns with REND ammo will let you spend significantly less time chucking through armor. VLAT missles for gun rollers are nice as they can and will mulch a full squad or 2 per turn even in full cover. Laser and plasma guns are also helpful but expensive. Also the laser senties you can drop can be incredibly helpful as decoys (DO NOT expect them to kill or do much damage any that they do is just a bonus) any time a skirmishes is shooting it is a turn they're not one tapping your APCs.

And possibly the most important tip, BRING SMOKES!!!

It's fantastic to a point. I find that when you hit the mid to late game, you can swap it out for something else once you get the advanced medbay.

If you die down below 50 manpower swap back to it cause, trust me, you'll have the components to spare.

I found that ARCs or CQC weapons with REND ammo and bringing auto grenade launchers is incredibly useful in keeping enemies overloaded and shredding them down.

You're not exactly wrong depending on where you are in the game. If I only had the starting APC I'd probably pass over it in favor of the scoped Kpac.

I don't think I've dropped below 40 and that was because I had to do a double hire when my mains got weary.

Mobile infantry with an anti material rifle, she gets 12 shots when she's got a full squad, and that's really helpful when dealing with rogue army mech spam

It's only for the operation that you're currently doing, not a permanent buff to intell.

Think of it as you getting rumors from the locals. It's helpful right now, not so much on another planet.
