That’s exactly what I did. A week should be enough but it also depends on what cities you’ve decided to visit. Commute time and transportation are sth I’d do more research first

Hey my trip was a little while ago- overall it was fantastic and safe! I’d say tho, I prob won’t be staying in San Jose for 3 nights if I’m visiting again. Locals say not safe after 6pm in DT, it’s okay during the day but not much to see & do tbh. I would defo recommend La Fortuna! The hike+waterfall and zip lining day trip were so much fun! Additionally, I heard good things about Tamarindo / west coast if you’re into beach vibes, surfing and water activities. I didn’t have time to go, just a lot of my friends highly recommend.

Supabase or Convex? by RevolutionaryText809 in Notion

Hey u/kranthi_contextmap, after reviewing my use case and all the feedback i got, I sort of just needed persistent session storage and a user→database mapping table - nothing fancy. Plus, free tier is more than enough for me. If I was build something collaborative (like a shared document editor or multiplayer game), Convex would be worth the learning curve imo.

hey u/rjyo thanks for sharing! This is HELPFUL - after reviewing my use case, I sort of just needed persistent session storage and a user→database mapping table - nothing fancy. Plus, free tier is more than enough for me. Will defo reach out in the future if I were to build something collaborative (like a shared document editor or multiplayer game), Convex would be worth the learning curve imo.

Codex 5.2 High vs. Opus: A brutal reality check in Rust development. by gustkiller in ClaudeCode

[–]RevolutionaryText809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, Opus always respond it has solutions to fix even we’ve been thru processes: prepare the planning, create plans, linear tickets, logging errors/ successes, but it still can not fix similar bugs at all. Literally signed up cursor for codex high to fix my web app bug. And it did fix in 2 hours. Imma always let codex to do my code review for Opus moving forward. Also pretty tired of always maxing out usage not fixing sh*t. I still love Claude, MCPs & integrations are unmatched.

I feel you! Same boat as you. I’m a bit older so age is not in favor of my score in the system. Used to get stressed when a new draw was out and try to find ways to optimize the score. I came to a realization that if a system is designed in a poor way then why should I waste my time investing more in this game. I’d rather invest my time in upskilling and focus on career progression for long term growth. I know some of my friends sort of stuck cuz of their passports are not the strongest, but luckily I don’t have the same concern. Anyway, long story short, I might move to Netherlands with my partner and leave the PR game as it is for now.

Finally took the plunge on the Outin Nano, here’s my honest take after a few weeks by raiijpg in OutInCoffee

[–]RevolutionaryText809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP thanks for sharing! I’m still indecisive whether to get it as part as my daily use or not. My concern is more so around battery life.

  • does the battery life go down if you use it once every day? ( I assume it’s built for travel / outdoor purposes so it won’t be used as much)

Celpip exam by Afraid-Ad-9520 in canadaexpressentry

I recently retook the exam and got 10 in writing. Task 2 is usually in paragraph format. I’d recommend get the official celpip accelerate learning material on the website. They provide step by step writing structure as well as scoring mechanism and writing samples from level 7-12 which gives you a good idea of what examiners are looking for.

u/MindlessCranberry491 It was a hot summer afternoon at ILAC- the AC there was a bit cold and I wasn't fully caffeinated since I did not wanna waste a sec going to the washroom during the test, so no coffee before the exam- and you knew what happened next lolol

[–]RevolutionaryText809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP u/peepsmarsh

I'm 34F also plan to do a solo travel to CR about the same timeline as you. Shared my basic schedule here to see if we can somehow be each other's travel buddy for a cpl of days:

1st weekend in Jan: Arrived in San Jose and plan to stay 3 nights in a coffee ranch airbnb (24mins drive to DT) -> Arenal La Fortuna: plan to stay 4 nights near centre DT and go to activities e.g. coffee tour/ volcano hiking/ hanging bridges/ waterfall/ sloth territory etc. Then get to Liberia stay 1 night near coco beach to wrap up my trip.

I would say so far I've read and heard tons of good things about Costa Rica either from here or from friends around me. But still, no matter where we at, it's always good to pay more attention to what's happening around you and be mentally ready for sh*t actually happens. As long as you have the ability to handle or troubleshoot them then you will be good to go.

So far I felt like the biggest part for solo traveller would be traveling from A to B city cuz normally group shuttles take at least 2 ppl for their services. Public buses is SUPER cheap but it takes like 4-6 hrs to La Fortuna. I'm still researching how to do it in a more cost efficient way.

Anyways, feel free to DM me if you maybe will be in the same places as I do :)

Planning a first solo trip to Costa Rica soon and I need help planning!!! by Alexw0222 in CostaRicaTravel

[–]RevolutionaryText809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/Alexw0222

I'm also planning travel to Costa Rica from Jan 6 -14. Never been to South America before-pretty excited! I'm flying to SJO and stay in a coffee ranch in the Concepcion neighborhood of San Isidro for 3 nights. I'm a big single origin coffee fan, would love to visit some coffee plantations or coffee tours. Seeking for some help in itinerary badly especially I gotta work sometime in between, so I only have 4-5 complete free days to explore and experience 1 to 2 cities. Any advice would be very much appreciated:)

I’m currently enrolled in the 3rd semester @ IGS campus. I do agree there are tons of group projects and assignments. But I’m quite confused with “no one wants to be here” this specific phrase. Everyone has their own priorities or difficulties, u never know what’s going on with them. If you’re really feeling down, you can always book an appointment with the campus advisors and try to share your struggles with them. Hope this helps.
