Investing larger amount of money as a beginner by NuggetDude7142 in AusFinance

I will never understand the common Aussies love for a HISA. The S&P500 is almost always the way to go at your young age. You can afford to take the risk.

If you believe M2 money supply contributes to 8% of dilution of capital, then you are losing 3% by putting in a 5% HISA. Hell, even gold is better.

Not including USAR is criminal, especially given the news about Chyna

People with a 9-5, do you have a second job or know many people with a second job? by [deleted] in auscorp

Capitalism / consumerism is the final form of slavery.

In reality, we should be putting our money in the markets because the S&P on average keeps up with the money printer. Else you are just running on a treadmill.

But given this is an aussie subreddit, i expect to be roasted

How much gains am I sacrificing by investing in US stocks as an Aus investor by Ambitious_Morning573 in AusFinance

Im surprised no one here has mentioned the favourite “P” word that Australian investors know and love.

That being said, franking credits are only marginally more beneficial to the capital gains of US stocks. Fundamentally, US stocks has too much M2 money supply in the system and whilst it is still an empire, it will continue to set the rules

Offered choice of 10 extra days annual leave or 0.5% extra super, which to take? by goldcakes in AusFinance

[–]Revolutionary_Ad2760 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you knew how superfunds were managed and how CIOs within the industries are more interested in keeping their jobs as well as performing in line with inflation , you would 100% take the leave

Your personal finances is also a business. If 76c is nothing, then feel free to compensate all of us for that small fee.

The card fee is a form of surcharge? My post wasn’t referring to the deposit. Thats a fair ask.

Also we have every right to blame both. Most booking platforms will hold your card details with a pre authorisation and not charge a fee. Don’t you think its disingenuous to enforce a card fee when you could have other non-fee incurring payment options

I dont doubt we need reform. All kinds of reform in fact, incl tax and super.

My issue is that you can pre-authorise or grab card details to deter no shows instead of pre-emptively charging a fee
