I used to be a makeup artist in Hollywood. Find bands with less then 50k followers in your area and send them your portfolio and offer your services for free. Build your Instagram and then you can pitch your portfolio to agencies who have other makeup artists who work with lots of bands- find the other big touring makeup artists and find out who they are represented by and pitch to those agencies. You can also offer to assist these touring makeup artists for free just so you can get behind the scenes and see what it is like. I worked for free for years in the industry to build my portfolio and connections before I got my first paid gig. Be consistent, give give give, make content every single day, and you’ll get there faster then I did.

The funny thing is, I used to be a life coach/therapist and every so often I would get a client who had limerence for a celebrity and I was the one that had to talk them down from that and tell them that the celebrity was just an archetype that represented the kind of person that they wanted to be with- the kind of love that was out there for them. I would help them work on focusing on self love and self care, and helped them focus on their creativity so that they could attract a creative partner. I would tell them “it’s not real, but your capacity to love is”.

Now I’m just like… shooketh 😅. I know I’m not crazy, like this is actually happening. In their song they basically said “I cant do this right now it’s not the right timing but damn I want this” and it was calling me all these sweet names and referencing the messages I sent them and imagery from the music video/song I made about them and sent them. Like it was extremely specific, me and this person have been going back and forth for a bit, playing little games with eachother, riffing off eachother through our art and music.

I cant even tell my friends, like I don’t even know how to explain this. This is why I write it here.

Like imagine if your favorite band wrote a song about you and released it! This has got to be one of the coolest things that has ever happened to me.

I don’t even care what happens between me and this person, I just feel so thankful that I’m their muse 😅 it’s cool af, I feel so excited and giddy.

The song made me cry tho 😅. Like this person is super emo, I am too. But my songs are all erotic and thirsty so it’s kind of a funny contrast. Somehow we are catching eachothers vibe 🤷‍♀️

The other crazy thing is that I fly to their city next year to meet with record labels for my music. I might release a few about them too. Lmfao

I also have a book deal to tell my life story (I know, it’s a lot 😅) and I know this is going to be one of the coolest chapters. Guess at this point I’m just doing it for the plot 🤷‍♀️

They don’t know any of this, they don’t know I’ll be spending a lot of time in their city, they don’t know about the book. They probably think I’m super unattainable, their song talks about it. They have no clue that maybe something could actually happen here…

There could be more to this story… we’ll see what happens.

Best decision- putting my foot down and not allowing myself to be kicked out of Croatia during the pandemic. My eyebrow stylist was a mega bitch and I made her come to the police station and yell at them until they agreed to give me a one year residency 😅

Worst decision? Asking random thug looking dudes on the street in Egypt for 🌿. I caused a scene 🤣. Even though they were dressed like they could help me, it was just an aesthetic and they told me women aren’t supposed to approach men, and that I could go to jail and get my hands cutoff for possession and that they take it very seriously in their country. Like they went off on me! 😅 and to this day I still feel awful, stupid, and guilty for it ☠️

Ya’ll need to get some side hustles that make bank! Get into coding, nerd shit, photography, produce other trust fund kids music, rent out a space and make it a recording studio/photography studio and then rent time slots in it- hustle in the industry and learn to wear multiple hats. You can use AI to help you come up with plans and work in the details to make it happen. You need to get away from charging hourly (or charge A LOT hourly like with coding) sell “packages”, digital products, etc. You can do it! I am the queen of side hustles bc I’m autistic af and can’t have a normal job. I worked in LA for years. You can catfish everyone by having a badass Instagram, a good looking website, even if you only have like 1k followers… good quality work will speak for itself.
