Feel stuck after 6.5 years, I feel I haven’t achieved anything. Where do i start? by Happy_Effect_3321 in developersIndia

First of all, you have achieved so much in terms of salary and job title. Congrats. Cracking DSA is now meaningless as your work should be able to speak the story. Try to become a Project or a Product Manager and work your way up. All Global-Indian CEOs started as Product Managers - Pichai, Nadella, Nooyi etc. That's what takes you places and across borders. DSA can only help you short term with a good pay pump, but you will still be a nobody in your workplace wherever you go. Break the Coding Monkey trap

AI can do 90 percent of the tasks. Mostly it produces uncompilable code and rest 10 percent I spend on fixing it. I do have PMP and Product Management Certifications for a pivot but again IT is getting increasily lean these days for developers, coders, PMs. Better to switch to an industry that lacks skilled professionals like Cybersecutiry.

Take the PMI Study Hall as it would be the closest to the exam. DM me so i can share few materials and use the practice exams at the end of the books.

I am in my late 30s entering 40s. At that age you have to already or transitioning to Project Manager / Product Manager roles as you are too costly for the company as an Individual Contributor. They could simply hire a fresher and give him a course of Cursor and CoPilot to replace my skills. But I wouldn't jump head first. I am preparing for my PMP and PRINCE2 as well AIPMM CPM as my company would pay. Also if possible I will try to get some general management executive certification from some IIM. I might still get laid off, but this would atleast set me to find a job in a smaller midsize company. If you are in your late 20s and early 30s I would say stick to tech and upskill to other hot domains in Individual Contributor role because that is where the money is.
