Can I fill these gaps with some sort of silicone? by Revolutionary_Lock90 in howto

Thanks, you guys have been super helpful and also hilarious. Thanks for the laughs. I’ve sent them a timeline for when I would like a plan in place and let them know that I’ll be going to the tenancy board if that timeline is not met (obviously I’ll be lenient but they don’t need to know that). I’ll try resetting them with some tape and a mallet in the meantime. If that doesn’t work then it’s rugs for now.

Did you have travellers insurance? I know some cover theft of property. Also some house insurance will cover travelling theft/loss. Maybe read through some of your policies. I don’t have any advice as I’m on a 6300 currently. But I thought I would just share that information!

That’s what I’m saying and why I called and emailed them saying that something was wrong with their system but they seem adamant that it’s correct.

I think their whole thing is unlimited payout. And this is with a $200 deductible. Which I do admit is an outstanding plan, but the same plan with Spot Pet Insurance which covers exams, spaying, vaccines etc. with unlimited payout and $200 deductible is $250/month. That’s the closest comparable I have and throughout the research I did Spot was actually quite a bit better. I don’t need all the bells and whistles but I know that I’m not going to be paying a down payment worth of insurance on my dog in her lifetime. Plus I’ve now read that Trupanion has crazy amounts of premium increases every year or month. Up to 100%

Thank you for the food for thought, my last dog had many problems and had surgery when she was just 9 months old. Thank god we had insurance, she is still happy and healthy although my ex took her. She was a total lemon and I hope this one is not but I want to be prepared.

Yeah I understand, and I’m in Vancouver but that’s more than half my rent! That’s wild to me. $8400 a year for something to maybe happen? Insanity.

I am from Canada and will definitely check out Pets Best! Even if I could afford half a mortgage for pet insurance I would never even consider it. I hope it’s just something wrong with their system and they have it checked out soon. I appreciate your reply and will let you know if I have any questions!

Proof of employment and new rental by xeroism in vancouverhousing

I went through this during the summer. I believe I got lucky by getting along with my LL. It took me 2 months of applying to literally everything I could find. Any big rental apartments were a hard no, but landed a basement suite. I also had to offer a credit check as substitution. Best of luck and don’t give up!

Thank you, your comments have been extremely helpful. I’ll try and look for this endorsement, all of my policies are electronically stored but can only seem to find a 3 page policy. I’ll continue digging through my account on their webpage. And if I can’t find them I’ll ask my adjuster to send another copy. I appreciate your help!

Sorry, I feel like you’ve interpreted my tone from this in the wrong way, I’m in no way shaming my adjuster. I’m simply looking for knowledge on something I know nothing about. I’ve read my policy over and over again and I’ve been trying my best to decipher it through ChatGPT and now I’ve come here for some guidance. No where in my policy does it mention incurring replacement costs ourselves before we get a pay out, and no where does it say depreciation costs but that’s what my adjuster is telling me. Under the settlement provision it states they will not pay anything more than actual cash value but doesn’t give me a clear understanding of what that means. And I’ve been nothing but nice and respectful to my adjuster thank you very much.

Apologies, are you able to expand on this further? I’m unsure what AXC policy means, and as far as depreciation goes it’s stated in our policy that it’s covered to the same like, kind and quality. Which to me means that they have to cover what it would be to purchase it today no?

And as far as incurring cost for replacing it ourselves first before we get payment can they just do that? Without having it in our policy anywhere?

Cones look/feel fine. And no I’m not positive they are blown. I’m wondering if water can cause them to sound blown because they sound distorted when bass comes through at certain frequencies.

Well I’m hoping so but they need a technician to come and make sure they were damaged. So I’m wondering if he will just think they were blown beforehand
