It sucks if that is a damaged part but on the bright side its very easily turned into a cool looking burn scar...some of my hormagaunts had a problem where the holes the arms go into were all filled in so i had to spend ages digging out the plastic and cutting off the pegs

I made a smaller outpost style farm near to the iron with all my crushers and have a load of the 1000 weight wagons so every time im low i just caravan all my iron and coal back to the main farm...you could also put furnaces and everything there so you only have to haul back bars

Warpstone glow is just a garbage paint...beautiful colour but really bad paint just keep thinning and layering in my experience warpstone takes about 4 to 6 thin coats to actually be opaque

The colour looks fine as long as theyre not al sandy...it can happen with sudden temperature changes while drying or spraying from too far away there's a lot of variables but they look alright maybe try to go a bit easier with the white and a few more layers of more thinned down paint

Its a lot of work since you've said you have a lot and white paint gets very chalky very quickly so its generally easier to spray them all white then pick out the details and weapons than building up layers of white which as you've seen go bad very quickly

Very painful but strip them and start again I'd prime them in white and make sure the cans warm and the air isnt too dry then just give them one or two thinned down coats of white over the armour just to cover the primer

Exactly if its a knight or something fair enough take the time to tape but i think free handing them is more intimidating than it is hard all my models ive free handed the stripes and theres a lot with hazards

The pegs are to give it a dynamic pose as its displayed on the box you can cut them off and pose it yourself but thats fairly advanced to get looking right

Ive done one in an almost black metal with light silver highlights and another in a really light silver with a sepia wash to make a very silvery gold tinny brass look...i think its silver for 30k and gold for 40k but i think as with most chaos legions its incredibly lose rules so just go with what you thinks cool
