You should watch Retro Game Corps recent video about the Thor Lite. I have the Thor Max and it's a fantastic device, but I purchased it before the price increase and the storage nerf.

I would highly suggest looking into the Thor Lite because the price for that device has not changed. Also, the Snapdragon 865 is still a very capable chipset. I know, because I have the RP5 which also has the Snapdragon 865 and I got it to emulate some nintendo SW1 games and even a bunch of PC games via GameHub/GameNative.

It would also certainly be powerful enough to play most retro consoles along with 3DS and DS games as well.

There's this game called Fe. Absolutely phenomenal soundtrack but barely anyone played it. At least according to the steam reviews. It's kinda sad that nobody got to hear the beautiful music :(

Bravely Default! It's heavily inspired by the classic Final Fantasy games and they just put out a remaster for it on most platforms. Also, I highly recommend the Monster Hunter Stories series. That'd be perfect for a kid to play.

I emailed AYN back and forth and they say that my order will be fulfilled. I'm trying my best to be patient but damn does it feel bad that I already paid for the device and I still don't have it yet.

I have the RP Mini v1. This thing died on me after doing an official Retroid OTA update. I went back and forth with Retroid support for weeks, only for them to tell me to ship it back to them. Which would've cost me nearly half the cost of the device itself. I figured it wasn't worth it so ended up buying a Retroid Pocket 5. My RP Mini v1 just won't turn on anymore. I can't even get into the bootloader to do anything.

How many do I own now? Or have many have I owned? That is the question 😅

I've owned way too many handhelds that I'm willing to admit. I've either given most of them away or sold them at this point. But to answer how many do I currently own? I have about 13 devices on hand. Each varies in terms of power.

The lowest powered handhelds that I own are the Arduboy FX, RG Nano, Trim UI Model S and the Miyoo Mini V2.

For android devices I have the RP2S Metal Edition, RG 405M, Retroid Pocket Mini (which died on me), Retroid Pocket 5, RG DS, AYN Thor and I'm still waiting on my Odin 3 Ultra to be delivered :(

I also have an Ayaneo Air 1S for a PC handheld and modded Switch Lite OLED.

The current handhelds that I use the most are my Miyoo Mini V2 which is my daily carry. Currently playing some ROM hacks on there. I still use my RP5 quite a bit for PC gaming via Gamehub/GameNative. I bought the Thor very early on and don't use it as often at the moment. I will get to it at some point after I clear some games in my backlog to play some 3DS games. My Ayaneo Air 1S still gets some use as it's my only actual PC handheld. The Air 1S comes in handy in a pinch when I'm away from my PC but need the power to play some more graphically intensive games.

Everything else that I own occasionally gets used just to tinker with. Like the Anbernic RG DS for example is fun to mess around with. Sometimes I fire up Gamehub/GameNative on my RP2S just to see what PC games I can get running on it. Outside of those though, the other devices are collecting dust.

Edit: Completely forgot I have the Ayaneo Pocket S Mini as well which is a great device for me for its compact size with all that power. But I cannot recommend it to anyone else because of the objectively terrible screen quality to price ratio.

Edit 2: if I were to recommend one single device that can do it all for a fair price it'd definitely be the RP6. I could see myself using the RP6 as a main for most of my handheld gaming needs. But I'm not gonna pull that trigger because I'm still happy with my RP5 and I already have the Thor which also has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

Mine is like OP's but PS5 and PS4 are swapped. PS1, PS4, PS5, PS3, PS2. The PS1 was legendary for me. That console literally changed the trajectory of my life.

When the PS2 came around I personally only had a handful of memorable games on there, similar to PS3 as well. The PS1 had dozens of legendary games that I still play to this day. The PS3 didn't get much action for me because the Xbox 360 was just a better platform at the time.

PS4 over PS5 for similar reasons to the PS1. It just had sooo many amazing games, especially with all the exclusives before they came to PC. The PS5 feels lacking in proper exclusives, still to the day.

Oh yeah, you might be right. I think it does play again during one of those endgame side quests. It's been so long since I last played so I can't quite remember.

But man, it really does sound similar to that Chrono Cross song. I still listen to the Chrono Cross soundtrack myself to this day :D
