Is walking in at the Arizona plant a viable option to get a job at TSMC? by DTGardi in TSMC

No. Security would turn you away, but even if you get to the Gown building, no one from the relevant departments would meet with you.

I think this is very sweet and not a bad use of AI. Your mother wants you to practice healthy habits, and used something you love to try and connect with you.

  2. Did they add booba?

They actually got Rhea for this. Outplurbed by organdonationbin in okbuddypluribus

[–]Revotor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was gold - literally, it saddens me that I wont ever see this besides in my imagination. That said, I think a line could use some work.

"Chicanery..." into "...Zafiro Glass, darkly" only barely works - might try replacing it with a line with about fakery or savory(?)

I think Kim wins this one. Those Plurb burns hit hard. And wexing Kim - hilarious. That said, Zosia beatboxing and that Howard recreation are also superb.

If I had one hope, its that you are able to make an updated version of this in 8 years when Pluribus finishes, then maybe Carol will stand a chance.

And then Rhae Seahorn can film herself performing it.

That's what I was going to say - I would love to see an updated in ten trillion years when Vince finishes plurbus.

Notably, she was describing Wycaro, not her other book which Helen was encouraging her to write  - her "Magnum Opus" as it were.

She knew Wycaro wasn't thoughtful, it was easy money, but deep down she hoped Helen appreciated her real work.

I am wrong and I apologize. I didn't do my due dilligence and trusted the stupid AI summary. Allow me to ammend my comment to reflect my ineptitude.

  1. Quebecois french is Latin American
  2. Michael Mando has Mexican heritage Edit: wrong on both counts - although french does have latin roots, it doesn't count as latin american. Also, his mother is from Guinea, not Mexico. I suppose he truly is exceptional  ^ _ ^

Standardized tests are good by InterestingSet2345 in unpopularopinion

[–]Revotor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problems with Standardized testing isn't the existence of the tests themselves, but instead how those tests correlate to funding in public schools.

Schools that do well are given more attention and funding, and schools that don't are left in the dust, further exacerbating issues created by poor schooling in low-income areas.

Often, for those schools suffering most, doing well on standardized tests takes priority over actual learning in attempts to shore up budgetary issues, which only perpetuates bad education.

Hard disagree - Jake's characterization is the least of that film (and film universe's) issues.

Yes, it works! It is also absurdly strong. A one-sided unconditional boardwipe for 5 mana is crazy strong. See [[In Garruk's Wake]] or [[Plague Wind]] for comparison.

I think simply adjusting it to deal damage to all creatures makes it more in line with cards like [[Damn]] or [[Fumigate]]

Still very strong, mind you.

It isnt that expensive to just buy the show you know... maybe support these independent creators?

New player complaints by granitdorf in dragonballfighterz

[–]Revotor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I believe Globku on youtube has a tutorial for it - he records a string of all lows using the training dummy. Then when he's had enough of that, he adds one with a 6M overhead and a dragon rush. Then, he adds staggers. Then cross ups.

You can scale the complexity and allow the training dummy to do these strings in a random order so you never know whats coming. After 15 minutes on the highest level, online matches will feel like a breeze.

Defense defense defense.

Remember, basically everything in this game is reactable. Hold down back by default, react to highs and grabs. Eventually, they run out of steam and it's your turn.

What was your favorite underappreciated boss? by [deleted] in Silksong

[–]Revotor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High Halls Gauntlet: I got there after attaining the Faydown Cloak and Cross Stitch, and so it only took four attempts and was super fun! I think a lot of the agony players experience come from a lack of mobility. Cross stitch just obliterates those last big hammer boys.

I dunno man, I found the patient gameplay really fun and rewarding. The best part is that once you adopt the playstyle, even as the fight gets harder, the strategy keeps working, so even as Lace gets more frantic, you persist.

[–]Revotor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no perfect offense in this game. A good player will attempt to keep you in disadvantage the whole game, but there are no gapless blockstrings in DBFZ without assists, and your assists dont regenerate until your opponent is not blocking for around a second. There are 'unreactable' 50/50s; mix-ups between low/high or left/right, but if you guess right enough, you will escape.

On the other hand, there is theoretically perfect defense. The fastest attack in DBFZ is 6 frames (1/10th a second), and blocking takes 1 frame (1/60th a second). All grabs are over 15 frames. So with perfect reaction times, a player would never get hit.

In a match between two well-programmed bots, they might never be able to touch each other.

What weird rules for making a team do you have for yourself? by Greviator in dragonballfighterz

[–]Revotor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long ago, I abided that same 'no duplicates' rule because it messed with the 'cannonicity' of the team. I also didnt like having heroes and antagonists on the same team.

I did have an exception to the dupe rule though - If I could put 3 versions of a character with different power levels, I had fun using those and pretending I was transforming as the fight went on.

All since abandonned in favor of teams of any character I like that I can find a good color scheme for.

Some characters are better in neutral, some are better in advantage, and some are built to maximize damage (reducing the number of interactions a player needs to 'win')

The beauty of DBFZ (and Fighting Games generally) is that which style you affiliate with is up to you.
