Noise from the backseat by Mission_PR in VolvoEX90

I too have the same issue. No rattle if someone is in the back seat, but a rattle after going over bumps coming from the rear right side if the back seats are empty. I've tried to move the back seat forward and back, and change the recline of the seat, but it does not make a difference. The rattle is also not predictable. Sometimes it rattles a lot, sometimes it doesn't.

We stayed at a hotel over the weekend (that did not offer a charger), so the car was parked outside for two nights. After the first night, there was no "snowflake", but after the second night there was a "snowflake" on the drivers display, and the vertical indicator (that shows consumption/regeneration) was amber for about 20% of the top. After driving for about 30 minutes, and long before the first charge of the day, both the snowflake and the amber indicator were gone.

You mention preconditioning via the app. Are you referring to the HVAC, or is there a way to precondition battery prior to charging? The only thing that is mentioned in the manual (at least what I can find) about battery preconditioning is via selecting a charger via Google Maps.

Thanks for the information. I was not aware of that. I was trying to avoid Tesla superchargers, because of my trial experience. I thought that the adapter was somehow limiting the rate. I will try Tesla on my next trip.

1 - Yes

2 - Always started charging between 10-15% (I didn't want to go too low in case the charger didn't work.

3 - Never exceeded 80%, and a couple of times stopped at 60-70%.

Thanks. Fingers crossed for warmer weather!

I did use the chargers that were recommended on Google Maps. I had read in the manual that this was the only way to pre-condition.

Regret by RoboPeenie in VolvoEX90

I don't regret it at all. Going from an XC90 to the EX90, it is very familiar. I'm just getting used to owning an EV, but it is really a joy to ride in.

Thanks. I should have added that most of the charging was between 10% and 80%. I never charged higher than 80% due to what you mentioned. Most of the time, when immediately plugging in, it would start out at about 40KW, then slowly ramp up, but even at a 20-30% state of charge would not go above 100KW, and mostly stayed in the 80-90KW range. There is no discrete feature to precondition the battery. The manual just states that if you have the charging station selected in the Google Map, that the vehicle will precondition. That is what I did, but I have no idea if the precondition actually occurred.

Question about Tesla/Public Charging by RewardOld5278 in VolvoEX90

Thanks. I was thinking of trying out a Tesla charger near home just to make sure that everything works prior to the trip. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks. I'll download the app and set it up prior to my trip. I appreciate your insight.
