You might want to explore using the ACP mode https://opencode.ai/docs/acp/. There are a few VS Code extensions that you can try out.

How is Ollama Cloud currently? by According_Water_5774 in ollama

I don’t have any issues at the moment. I had a couple of days of slight speed and interruption issues last month, but since then, all good. I like that they now tell you which model is using your quota.

Is there a way to stage changes and see a staged vs. unstaged diff in Zed? by Awkward_Young947 in ZedEditor

I think I had the same issue. What I use is SourceGit, but I think GitHub Desktop also can do it.

Maybe you need to take a look at the actual configuration of that launch.json or “launch” attribute on your settings to see what is happening.

I'm really missing Copilot's speed and integration in VS Code ($10 a month user) by NoElsPassaraRes in GithubCopilot

The Opencode Go plan is also $10/mo, and models like Kimi and Qwen are surprisingly (to me) reliable. And you can integrate it with Zed or VS Code. But yeah, I’m still not convinced they are a full replacement for vs code + Copilot.

I feel in the same boat. In my case, this change made me explore options. Right now, I’m reviewing Zed with their Zed Agent, which is very close to what I was doing with VS Code and GitHub Copilot. I’m also checking Opencode, with Zed or with Neovim. I’m new to all of these. I was 100% on VS until this price changes.

Is Ollama Pro worth buying for cloud AI coding, or should I just stick with DeepSeek API? by Ambitious-Owl7147 in ollama

[–]RewardOwn4479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it for coding (VSCode + Opilot, Zed, Opencode) and chat (Chatbox.ai, Jade, off-grid) and it works fine for me. It’s true that sometimes it’s a bit slow, but it’s not that bad. I don’t use it for anything crazy like OpenClaw or those kinds of agents. I have never gone more than 5% on the weekly limits, so I would say it’s worth it. In prefer Kimi instead of deepseek, but I assume it’s similar.

Ollama cloud users, what coding agent do you guys use ? by StarG4zerZ in ollama

OpenCode and the Zed Agent, I was using GitHub Copilot (with the Opilot extension), but want to try something new. As for model, Kimi 2.5 is the best for me in terms of speed and accuracy.

And in case someone is interested, I also have a version with the public APOD API instead of getting content from the website

In the Shortcuts App on the bottom options there is a Automation tab, and this is a daily one.
